4 Sore Loser

Aaron shook his head, it was impossible. This was a battle royale, there could only be one survivor.

Aaron looked around the rest of the arena he only saw a small amount of people left. Once Aaron counted them there was nine in total. Five with the young master and two fights with two people in each fight.

Aaron had an idea. He moved all the dead bodies around him into a pile and hid behind them waiting for everyone to stop fighting.

After almost ten minutes the two small fights ended. The young master ordered the guards to finish the survivors. The guards quickly moved out killing the already injured survivors.

Because Aaron was hiding the young master didn't see him. Once the young master was reunited with his guards he said something that even freaked out Aaron.

"Kill yourselves" The young master said this while looking at the guards, in his eyes everyone was less than ants.

Despite the visible anger on the guards faces they still performed the task given to them. One of them tried to attack the young master but fell to the ground in pain. His hand was shining revealing a brand burned onto his skin.

Slowly the guards started to kill themselves. One of them slowly slit there throat while the other two pierced there hearts. The guard who was on the ground died shortly after the other three after suffering from severe pain.

Aaron was surprised while watching the scene play out in front of him. The young master spoke with disgust while looking at the guard who tried to attack him.

"Hmph, a servant like you should know your place!"

Before walking away from the body he spat on the corpse. Aaron slowly moved away from the corpses getting closer to the cruel young master.

Kenneth Aubyn is the young master of the Aubyn family. His father told him if he wanted to become the clan head he needed experience. Which is why he was at the arena.

Kenneth was planning on winning the battle royale fight and telling his father allowing him to inherit his fathers position.

He secretly gathered four of his servants who can fight and brought them to the battle royale. They signed up separately before meeting up in the battle grounds.

They were all branded with a slave mark. The mark caused the servants to feel excruciating pain when they disobeyed an order.

Kenneth was waiting for the announcer to report of his victory but even after a full minute he was left with nothing but silence.

Aaron slowly inched his way across the cold ground of the arena in Kenneth's direction hoping to be able to launch a surprise attack.

As he got closer to Kenneth his heart got increasingly more tense. His breathing slowed down and his grip tensed as he neared Kenneth.

Quickly leaping at Kenneth with his blade in the air Aaron's eyes were filled with expectation. He believed he could one hit Kenneth but to his surprise his blade was parried.

Although Kenneth was a pampered young master he was still forced to train in case he needed to protect himself if needed. Although he trained every now and then he preferred to indulge in his desires.

Kenneth would have most likely won the competition without his servants protection but he didn't want to take the risk.

When Aaron's attack was parried by Kenneth he was surprised. Aaron thought he could easily kill the young master and win the competition.

Aaron steadied himself preparing for his next attack when he felt a sudden gust of wind pass his face cutting his cheek.

"Whirlwind!" Aaron was confused. Kenneth swung his blade in Aaron's direction and a gust of wind came out from it.

Cultivators can use every element, despite that people are still born with an element they are most proficient in. Kenneth for example is most proficient with the wind element. This allows him to learn wind technique faster and make them stronger than normal.

With the impending threat in front of Aaron, just like every other fight his eyes turned as cold as ice. Just by staring at Kenneth his eyes threatened to turn him into a block of ice. Aaron's whole stature changed instantaneously.

Aaron was aware of what was happening and was oddly accepting. He felt like a part of himself he never knew existed appeared.

Aaron and Kenneth entered a stalemate. The tension was so thick you cut it with a knife. Looking into Aaron's cold eyes Kenneth felt a strange pressure. A mixture of arrogance and fear caused Kenneth to attack first.

"Whirlwind"

Using his Qi Kenneth compresses the air around his sword. Once he swings his sword a vicious blade of air is launched towards his target. The compressed air is strong enough to cut a thick tree in half.

Aaron learned from his previous encounter with this technique and was ready to dodge. Unprepared for the speed Aaron was hit lightly on his left arm.

Realising he was too slow Aaron cursed under his breath in annoyance. His cold eyes showed a flash of determination.

After two more attempts Aaron finally learned the timing needed to dodge the attacks. When Kenneth was preparing to use his wind technique he would take a deep breath before attacking. This was when he was compressing the air around him.

After two more attacks Aaron managed to get within Kenneth's attacking range. Because the two were so close together Kenneth wouldn't be able to use his wind technique.

Rushing his finger towards the attack button while ignoring the sweat forming on his forehead. Kenneth managed to dodge slightly getting cut on his arm.

"You'll pay for that!"

In a pained voice Kenneth managed to cry out. Being the young master of the Aubyn family Kenneth was shielded from pain. All Kenneth had was his fancy techniques but no actual experience.

Because of this Kenneth wasn't sure what to do in that situation except continuously attacking with his wind technique.

"Whirlwind"

"Whirlwind"

After several failed attempts Kenneth was flustered. How could he be losing? As a last resort he made a difficult decision.

"Daddy!" Kenneth screamed out in panic. Despite how careful Kenneth was his father still knew he was at the battle royale.

"Surely father will save me!"

Watching what was happening Kenneth's father, Blake scoffed. He might have saved his son on a normal occasion but this was far from that.

Behind his fathers back Kenneth stole four servants that the Aubyn family were training. Another reason was if Kenneth won he would have told his father he won it alone so he could inherit his position as clan head. The last reason was simple. His son was being a sore loser. Expecting his father to save him.

Blake shook his head with a mixture of sadness and anger before walking away.
