The current him was the same as he was when he was 17, with the difference that his thinking speed had evolved a lot and only the information of the Dao Transcending Consciousness Tempering Art was in his mind.

Upon brainstorming his memories, Shen somewhat gained the understanding of the cultivation world.

As he already knew this world had magical powers, people could 'cultivate' and increase their strength and lifespans.

Cultivation meant refining the Qi of Heaven and Earth and absorbing it within themselves to break through the shackles of mortals and become immortals.

According to the memories of the previous Shen Wang, only one in 10,000 mortals had something called 'spiritual roots', spiritual roots were similar to getting a pass to sense and manipulate the Qi of Heaven and Earth, the better the quality of spiritual roots, the more talented one would be in manipulating Qi.

The spiritual roots were themselves divided in various affinities, however five were the most common, those were Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water. Apart from these the affinities of Yin and Yang also existed, the remaining affinities were an evolution, mixture or derived form of these basic affinities.

Apart from attributes, spiritual roots were also divided in different tiers, which was directly related to the talents of a cultivators, they were divided as Low-Grade, Medium-Grade, High-Grade, Top-Grade and Heaven-Grade.

Shen Wang himself had lightening and wood attributes, lightening was composed of Extremely strong fire and Extreme Yang whereas wood is lesser Yang and nourishes fire thus, in a way one could say that lightening was his primary attribute and wood was his supplementary attribute. His Lightening attribute was High-Grade and his wood attribute was Medium-Grade.

Moving onwards, there were different realms of cultivation,

The cultivation realms that the previous Shen was familiar with were

Qi Condensation, Foundation Establishment and Golden Core Realm, each realm was divided into 9 minor realms, each minor realm had it's own bottleneck, which the cultivator needed to comprehend to break into a higher realm.

Shen's current cultivation was ranked 5th in the Qi Condensation Realm , thus he only knew about the Qi Condensation Realm, from what he knew this realm was majorly involved in assimilating Qi into his body. From what he knew, Qi Condensation Realm cultivators focused on strengthening their bodies by Qi.

As Shen discovered more memories of the old Shen, he found out that he was from a humble background of mortals where he was tested to have a high grade lightening attribute and a medium grade wood attribute spiritual roots by the cultivators of a nearby sect called Lake Lotus Sect.

Every few years they test mortals to find those with spiritual roots, if a mortal around the age of 10-18 was found with spiritual roots it would change their entire lives upside down, they would be taken into the sect and nurtured into strong cultivators.

This is what happened to the old Shen, he was taken away from his hometown and given a place to stay in the outer area of the sect.

The Lake Lotus Sect was divided into different areas, Outer Sect Area where Shen was living in, Inner Sect's Area , Core Sect Area, Great Elder residences and the Lotus Palace which was the residence of the Sect Master.

The authorities of disciples in the sect were as follows, lotus servants, outer disciples, inner disciples, core disciples, pillar disciples and legacy disciples.

and the elders were as follows, Outer Sect Elders, Inner sect elders, Sect Elders and finally the Sect Leader, however there was also a rumoured existance Supreme Elders who were even higher than the Sect Leaders, but nobody knew where they lived and had no disciples.

Although he had never been anywhere near Inner Sect's area, there was a huge map of the Sect in the Outer Sect's Academy. The Sect was similar to disfigured concentric circles, at the middle was a huge lake surrounded by a few mountain peaks. There was a huge Palace which looked like a Lotus at the Centre, which was the place where the Sect Master resided, the surrounding mountains were occupied by the elders of the sect surrounding which were the residences of Great Elders and their disciples which were called the pillar disciples, signifying that they would be the future pillars of the sect, they were followed by the Core Sect Area, which was occupied by the Elders and their disciples, the core disciples. Moving outwards there was the Inner sect area and finally the Outer sect area.

Shen Wang was currently an outer sect disciple. Although he had high grade spiritual roots he was already 17 when he entered the sect and was now 18 although his cultivation was quite quick he was still surpassed by disciples his age, thus he was not accepted as an inner sect disciple when he came into the sect a year ago due to his age of starting cultivation.

The previous Shen Wang was currently in seluction for a few days when Shen Wang shamelessly overtook his body and subjugated the previous Shen Wang's soul and fused it with himself.

However he still did not feel completely comfortable inside the body of another individual, and Shen knew that this was because that the previous owner of the body was healthy and normal when he overtook his body, causing rather strong drive to fulfill the wishes and desires of the previous owner to arise within Shen even though he had already absorbed with previous Shen Wang's soul.

He just had to fulfill those wishes, and he would only know of these wishes through some sort of event which would stimulate his desires. Once he finished with that he would have full control over his body.

Thus for now, Shen sat in a crossed legged position and meditated, digesting all the remaining memories, he had already decided on his short term goal, that was to study the cultivation techniques that the previous Shen cultivated and experiment with his cheats.
