His companion patiently clarified, "If she simply wanted to provide Eric with a drink, couldn't she have taken one from the shop owner's stock from the previous day? She doesn't want us to bring drinks for Eric. She wants us not to disturb their time together. That's why she concocted an excuse and dispatched us here."
