The Selection Process

The Long family Banquet Hall was filled with joy and happiness as everyone enjoyed themselves, feasting on the delicious food and drink provided. The Long family had prepared a sumptuous feast to celebrate the arrival of the ancestor from the main family, and the guests were savoring every bite of the delicacies.

Zhang Wei was lost in thought, wondering about the special purpose of Ancestor Long's visit to the mortal world. He had heard from Madam Chi that it was of great importance, and even the Long family was not aware of the specifics. Emperor Azura's presence in the banquet hall only added to the mystery, and Zhang Wei could feel the tension and anticipation building up. For this reason, the ancestor had invited Emperor Azura to attend the banquet, as he was also seeking a partnership with the main Long family and Azure Family.

Zhang Wei couldn't help but wonder what could be so important to bring an immortal to the mortal world. As the banquet drew to a close, the atmosphere in the hall shifted as the young warriors prepared for the upcoming test of spiritual roots.

Ancestor Long placed a black, crystal-clear stone in the center of the hall and addressed the gathered crowd. "This stone can not only detect people's spiritual roots, but also their special physics, soul, and other talents," he explained. "This time, I will not only select individuals for our Long family, but also qualified disciples to send to the Flame Emperor Holy Land using our quota."

Zhang Wei watched with a mixture of amazement and envy as the hall erupted into a frenzy. It seemed that everyone had been caught off guard by the Long family's announcement, even some of the most powerful and influential families in the realm. The chance to join the holy land was an opportunity that was simply too good to pass up, and many of the young warriors were willing to risk everything to make it happen.

As the excitement and anticipation grew, Zhang Wei could feel the energy in the room intensifying. The young warriors were all eager to show off their spiritual roots and prove themselves worthy of selection. The air was thick with tension and expectation, and Zhang Wei could sense that the competition was going to be fierce.

Suddenly, Ancestor Long's voice boomed out over the crowd, cutting through the excitement like a knife. "Silence!" he commanded, and the room fell quiet. "I will not tolerate any unruly behavior or dishonesty during the selection process. Those who are found to be cheating or lying will be disqualified immediately."

The young warriors all nodded in agreement, their expressions serious and determined. They knew that this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and they were willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen.

The hall was bustling with activity as the young warriors waited in anticipation for their turn to be tested. Some of them were confident, while others were nervous. The first tester, a young man named Liang Chen, stepped forward. He was a handsome, well-built young man with short black hair and a determined expression on his face. As he approached the stone, it glowed a soft blue. The ancestor nodded in approval, and Liang Chen moved to the side with a smile on his face.

The second tester, a young woman named Liu Xue, was equally determined. She was a strikingly beautiful young woman with long, black hair that cascaded down her back. As she approached the stone, it glowed a bright pink. Everyone looked impressed, and Liu Xue joined Liang Chen with a grin.

The testing started, with some succeeding and others failing to impress the ancestor. The 10th tester was a young man named Wei Sheng. He was a thin, lanky young man with glasses and a bookish appearance. As he approached the stone, it barely glowed at all. The looked disappointed, and Wei Sheng stepped back with a downcast expression.

The 20th tester, a young woman named Zhang Mei, was petite and delicate-looking. She had long, curly hair and big, doe-like eyes. As she approached the stone, it glowed a soft green. The ancestor nodded in approval, and Zhang Mei joined the other successful testers with a smile.

Zo Shing also succeeds in being selected. His result was very good shining with a golden light. He was selected for the Holy Land. Till now only Zo Shang and Liu Xue have been choosen to join the holy land.

The testing continued, with each tester presenting a unique set of characteristics.

As each young warrior approached the stone, it glowed with different intensities. Some glowed brightly, indicating strong spiritual roots and potential, while others were dim, indicating mediocre abilities.

As the 36th tester stepped forward, the crowd fell silent. This young man was none other than Qin Tian, and he was unlike any of the other testers. He was not particularly handsome, nor was he muscular. In fact, he was rather plain-looking with short brown hair and an unremarkable appearance. But when Qin Tian approached the stone, something unexpected happened. The stone remained dark and lifeless, as if it could not detect anything from him. Ancestor Long furrowed his brow, clearly puzzled by this phenomenon. He had never seen anything like it before.

Zhang Wei watched the proceedings with interest. There was something about Qin Tian that caught his attention. Perhaps he really is a child of destiny. The testing continued, with more young warriors stepping forward to be judged.

Suddenly, Prince Chang, the son of Emperor Azura, stepped forward. He was known for his impressive abilities and his desire to prove himself. As he approached the stone, it began to glow brighter and brighter, until it shone with blinding intensity. The elders gasped in amazement, and Prince Chang stepped back with a proud smile on his face.

The room fell silent as everyone watched in awe. Ancestor Long's eyes widened in surprise and admiration. He had not expected to find such a talented individual among the young warriors.

"Chang'er, you are indeed a rare talent," he said. "Your spiritual roots are among the strongest I have ever seen. You will surely shine in the holy land"

"Thank you, Grandpa Long", Prince Chang Said. Emperor Azure was also smiling seeing his son being praised.

As the selection process came to an end, Ancestor Long announced that the chosen young warriors would be sent to the Flame Emperor Holy Land for further training and education
