While Father Matthias may appear benign to both humans and animals, in reality, he is far from kind or weak. Behind his aged and fragile exterior lies a formidable individual with power comparable to, or perhaps even surpassing, that of Eric. This hidden facet of Father Matthias is so concealed that even his colleagues in the church, with whom he interacts daily, remain oblivious to this other side. He has successfully deceived everyone in the village, except for a select few who are privy to his secret. Among this small circle of individuals who know his true identity is none other than Eric, the village chief. Despite Eric's unassuming status, his extensive connections have granted him knowledge about Father Matthias, including some details about his background. Eric, in fact, possesses more information about Father Matthias than anyone else in the village.
