Emperor Azure's Journey and Zhang Wei's Preparation

The Imperial Palace of Azure Cloud Dynasty

The Imperial Palace of Azure Cloud Dynasty was an awe-inspiring structure that commanded respect from all who entered. The walls were made of gold, the roof was adorned with precious stones, and the windows were crafted with intricate carvings that depicted stories of the gods and heroes of the land. The palace was surrounded by lush gardens, filled with fragrant flowers and shimmering fountains. It was a place of immense wealth, power and grandeur.

At the heart of the palace sat the Golden Throne, on which sat Emperor Azure, the ruler of the Azure Cloud Dynasty. He was a commanding figure, with a strong jaw and piercing eyes. His hair was pulled back into a neat bun, revealing a high forehead, and his imperial robes were adorned with gold and silver threads that glimmered in the light of the throne room. He was surrounded by two guards, who stood at attention behind him, their breaths exuding a powerful aura that showed their strength and mastery of martial arts.

The emperor was surrounded by his courtiers, who were discussing matters of state with hushed tones. They all stopped their conversation when the emperor signaled for them to be quiet, for a guard had entered the hall and kneeled before the emperor. The emperor gestured for the guard to speak, and the guard stood up and said in a low voice, "Your Majesty, Grandmaster Wang has sent news. He has successfully arranged the teleportation array. According to your majesty's wishes, this array can teleport up to ten people at a time. Your majesty can start his journey whenever he prefers."

Emperor Azure smiled upon hearing this news and said, "Very good. Go back and tell Grandmaster Wang that he will be handsomely rewarded for his hard work." The guard bowed once more and left the hall, leaving the emperor to continue his discussion with the courtiers.

However, Emperor Azure's attention was soon drawn to a wise old man who sat in the corner of the hall. This was Master Lin, a renowned fortune teller who was known for his ability to see into the future. The emperor called out to him and said, "Master Lin, you have heard that the preparation of the teleportation formation is finished. We should go now. If you have nothing, we can start our journey to the Long Family. By the way, have you calculated how our journey will be?"

Master Lin stood up from his seat and said respectfully, "I am ready, Your Majesty. And I have calculated the journey, and I say that fate shows our trip will be very fruitful, and after this, our country will prosper for at least ten thousand years."

Emperor Azure praised Master Lin's ability to fortune tell and laughed loudly. "Well done, Master Lin. Your skills are truly unmatched. I am confident that our journey will be a success, and that the Azure Cloud Dynasty will continue to thrive."

Long Family Courtyard, Madam Chi's Room

As the sun began to rise, the courtyard of the Long Family were abuzz with excitement. Today was the day of the martial arts competition, and many young aspiring cultivators had gathered from all over the kingdom to showcase their skills and potentially catch the eye of an immortal, who was rumored to be attending the event.

The morning sun shone brightly. Zhang Wei got up from his comfortable bed, his mind set on cultivating his powers. He had managed to gather three strands of soul power from his activities with Madam Chi the previous night, and he was eager to use it to enhance his cultivation.

As he sat cross-legged on the floor, he started to cultivate using the soul power, focusing all of his energy into the conversion process. He felt a surge of energy flow through him, and he could feel himself growing stronger. After the soul power was exhausted, he switched to using the heaven and earth qi, but he quickly noticed that the growth of his soul was much faster when using soul power.

This realization made Zhang Wei even more determined to go through with his sinister plan. He needed soul power and Madam Chi's sisters were going to be his source. He was going to make them his cows, but not just for milk, but for the Yin qi he desperately needed.

Putting away his thoughts, Zhang Wei started to prepare for the day ahead. He had to follow Madam Chi as her servant and hide from the powerful immortals who would be attending the event. His blind act had to be perfect. He had to be careful and watch his every step.

Madam Chi also got up early, eager to prepare for the day's events. Today was not only her mother's birthday, but also the day when an immortal would come to select new disciples.

The day would start with a martial arts competition for mortals, to see if there were any good seedlings. After the immortal arrived, a banquet would be held, followed by the main event, the selection of the immortal seedlings.

As Madam Chi and Zhang Wei made their way to the arena, Zhang Wei couldn't help but feel a sense of nervousness in the pit of his stomach. He was here under false pretenses, posing as a blind beggar in order to conceal his true identity and avoid detection from the powerful immortals who would be present. He knew that one wrong move could cost him everything.

The arena was a large, open field surrounded by towering stone walls, and as Zhang Wei and Madam Chi made their way to their seats, they were greeted by the sounds of cheering and shouting. There were hundreds of young warriors in the arena, each eager to prove themselves.
