On the next day, Madam Chi and the maid left the mansion to catch up with the long family and their new guests. Zhang Wei stayed behind, as he thought it would be best to stay away from the Prince Chang. This was also the day that he would start cultivating the Soulless Divine Technique.
As soon as Madam Chi left, Zhang Wei got up and ate some breakfast. After finishing his meal, he sat on the bed and started to recall every part of the Soulless Divine Technique. He calculated all possible scenarios for any missteps, knowing that he only had one chance to succeed. The Soulless Divine Technique was like gasoline, and the Yin Qi he gathered was like fire. The main ingredient he needed was his own soul, which needed to be heated. To start the technique, he needed at least 5 strands of soul energy. Although he didn't have the soul energy, he could convert the Yin Qi to soul energy to cultivate it. After conversion, he would have roughly 7 strands of soul energy from the 270 strands of Yin Qi which he received from Madam Chi including the night before.
With his mind set on success, Zhang Wei prepared himself mentally. This was one of the biggest steps in his current life, and he needed more luck now than ever. He knew that he needed to do something big to attract luck, and so he did what a new emerging villain must do to succeed in his villain career - he prayed.
In a devout tone, he began to pray. "Buddha, I am your most devout believer from Earth. I am about to embark on a journey of evil in this new world. Please bless me and give me the strength to succeed. If one day I succeed, I will make a shrine for you in this world and spread your light. I will harm those who do not follow you, Buddha. My success is not only for me, but for you as well. So, grant me supreme blessing and luck."
Zhang Wei's voice was filled with conviction, and he truly believed that his success would bring glory to the Buddha. He opened his eyes, feeling a sense of peace wash over him. He was ready to begin his cultivation.
However, as he stood up, he couldn't help but smile at the absurdity of his prayer. Here he was, a blind man who was about to embark on a journey of evil, praying to the Buddha for luck. He chuckled to himself, wondering what the Buddha would say if he could hear him.
But despite the humor of the situation, Zhang Wei was serious in his intentions. He was determined to become immortal and change his fate, and he was willing to do whatever it took to succeed. With a determined look on his face, he began to cultivate the Soulless Divine Technique.
Zhang Wei sat cross-legged on his bed, his eyes closed in deep concentration. He had been preparing for this moment for weeks, and he knew that the success of the Soulless Divine Technique would determine the rest of his life in this new world. He focused his mind on the ancient incantations and began to visualize the process of the technique, imagining the flow of Qi through his body.
The cultivation process was incredibly complex and required precise control of both his physical and mental energy. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest as he began to run the technique. At first, everything was going smoothly. He felt the flow of Qi moving through his body, going to his soul and the qi is growing stronger with each passing moment.
But as he approached the final stages of the technique, he encountered a sudden block in the path of his Qi. He could feel a barrier, as if a wall was separating him from completing the technique. Zhang Wei gritted his teeth and summoned all of his soul energy, determined to break through the barrier and achieve goal.
He had come so far, and he wasn't about to give up now. With his eyes tightly shut, Zhang Wei focused all of his energy and began to bombard the barrier with his soul energy. He could feel the barrier shaking with each impact, and he could sense that a small crack was beginning to form. Despite the pain that was coursing through his body, he refused to give up.
As he continued his relentless attack, Zhang Wei's body started to suffer. Blood started to pour out of his nose, eyes, and ears, a testament to the toll that this intense battle was taking on him. But he refused to give up. He gritted his teeth and pushed on, determined to break through the barrier that was standing in his way.
With each passing moment, the barrier grew weaker and weaker, and the crack in its surface grew wider. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Zhang Wei used all of his remaining power to give one final, crushing blow to the barrier. And with a sharp and resounding sound that seemed to have come from his very essence, the barrier crumbled and disappeared.
As soon as the barrier was gone, Zhang Wei felt a rush of energy coursing through his body. He could feel the spiritual energy of heaven and earth merging with his soul, filling him with an incredible sense of power and vitality. He had finally succeeded in breaking through the barrier, and he was now on the path to becoming a true immortal.
But despite his great accomplishment, Zhang Wei was already unconscious. The pain that he had endured in his battle against the barrier had pushed his body to its absolute limit, and he was now lying there, motionless and silent
