Sudden Enlightenment at the Store.

From time to time, the seated Ding Xiaolong eyes darted from the simple looking Kong Xiang to Li Luo. Both of them, however, were engrossed in the martial techniques in front of them.

In Li Luo's hands was a scroll that described the 'Fort breaking fist" The technique allowed one to channel origin energy during combat to the arm, granting it an unbelievable level of strength. The first two levels of Cultivation only permitted close combat fighting, only after reaching the Origin Refinement realm and comprehending Intent would one be able to manipulate qi through space. Li Luo was particularly interested in this fist technique since her style was direct and straight to the point.

Kong Xiang was more interested in cultivation arts at the moment, and he discovered quite a few that were good.

Ding Xiaolong came up to him and noted the scrolls in his hand; the Holy Wood Method, the Aqua Source Mantra and Herculean Thunder Art.

The Holy Wood Method was a middle grade wood attributed Cultivation art that allowed a cultivation to absorb the purest of wood energies. It was believed to have been created by an elf during a bout of inspiration.

The Aqua Source Mantra, as the name implied was a water attributed art. It was also a middle grade art.

The Herculean Thunder Art was a high grade cultivation art and had stringent requirements to cultivate. One had to have a pure thunder attribute and a body that reached the 10th level of body requirement. One also had to possess the toughest willpower as thunderforce was a very destructive attribute that didn't between friend nor foe.

Kong Xiang had no doubt that with the Eternal Divine Sutra, he would be able to cultivate any one of these three cultivation art, but unfortunately, all three arts were of single attributes. Kong Xiang wanted an art that utilized all three of his innate attributes. With his badass support type auxiliary Cultivation Art, he could cultivate them simultaneously, but he wanted to see if the store had an Art that utilized all three of his attributes. Unfortunately, such high level arts that could utilize more than one attribute were rare and would only be found in cultivation sects. To get them would require an identity as a core disciple and an insane amount of merit points.

Ding Xiaolong seemed to notice his dilemma and said with a mysterious smile. "I can't get a cultivation art of your three attributes, but I know somewhere you can get an art of both wood and water attributes."

Kong Xiang looked at her and thought that her status seemed to be greater than a mere attendant. In the store, there were other attendants, both none of them possessed the calm, collected attitude that Ding Xiaolong exuded. As he grew up in a rich cultivation clan, he had come in contact with high-level cultivators, and the aura Ding Xiaolong gave off rivalled some of them.

"She is definitely not simple."

Ding Xiaolong saw the cautious light in Kong Xiang's eyes and chuckled lightly. Kong Xiang's honest face was like an open book, anyone with an observant nature would be able to note his emotions from his countenance.

Li Luo came to them and held two scrolls in hand. Ding Xiaolong noted the new scroll that read 'Phantom Drifting Form', a speed type cultivation technique.

Kong Xiang looked around the pavilion again. As for Ding Xiaolong's baiting, he didn't give it much thought. He knew that a big pie couldn't just fall from the sky, and he would be required to pay a price to get the art, probably servitude to the store or something. His eyes caught an open scroll at the bottom corner of the shelf. Unlike the other scrolls which only showed the name of the cultivation and a general description, this one was complete. Ding Xiaolong explained.

"This is one of the infamous notes of Hou Da. 300 years ago, he was widely known for his crazy, out-of-the-box theories" she paused. "His notes are all incomplete and impossible to cultivate, just illusive wild ideas."

Kong Xiang wasn't even listening to her, his whole attention was on the scroll. The scroll had a complex sketch of a foreign meridian system and diagrams of circulation patterns. He fell into a trance, and the Eternal Divine Sutra started circulating automatically. After completing one cycle, an illusionary meridian channel appeared, overlapping his original meridians. Shockingly, this new set of meridians bore a close similarity to the meridian channel in the sketches he held.

Origin energy of wood, water and thunder attribute instantly rushed to Kong Xiang in copious amounts. Ding Xiaolong noticed this and screamed involuntarily.

"HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?"
