We did so…and it didn't work. Instead of my charm vanishing, after 1 second it repelled from the egg's surface like the same poles of two magnets. Information spiritually transmitted to me from the charm, which was perceived by my consciousness as floating words similar to a system popup but without a window:

I felt a painful buzzing in my head when I tried to perceive the blocked word, but only momentarily. "Well, that sure solves that dilemma!" I went to put the egg back in my Inventory, but Chen Huan called out for us to wait.
He and Gang spent the next half-hour teaching us the method to give energy from our Auras to our eggs. "They've definitely been here a long time, so the only thing stopping them from hatching is the lack of Aura," Chen Huan explained, "they'll probably all hatch within a few months if you keep feeding them correctly."
