Wei Anning felt two burning gazes behind her, nearly piercing through her back. When she turned around, she saw Leng Youchen with a nosebleed.

Startled, she quickly tossed aside the towel and handed him several tissues. As she wiped his nose, she asked anxiously, "What happened? Why are you bleeding out of nowhere?"

Leng Youchen inwardly cursed her, blaming her for his condition. However, his expression remained cold. He snatched the tissues from her and tilted his head up, covering his nose.

"You can't tilt your head; the blood could flow back into your windpipe." Anning ignored his hostile demeanor, looking at him with concern. "Are you having a heatstroke? Is there a private doctor on the island? We should get a doctor to check on you. A nosebleed can be serious, don't take it lightly."

Leng Youchen lowered his head, and the tissue quickly turned red with blood. Seeing this, Wei Anning pulled out another tissue, twisted it into a small ball, and leaned forward, saying, "That won't do. You need to plug your nostrils. Come on, lift your head."

Leng Youchen looked up and was again visually stimulated by her approach, feeling the nosebleed that had just stopped surge out once more.

His breathing became erratic. He could imagine all sorts of scenarios in his head a thousand times, but he couldn't act even once, or else all his efforts would be in vain. He never thought this woman he found repulsive could have such a big impact on him.

He almost brutally pushed her hand away and barked, "Get out!"

Caught off guard, Wei Anning was pushed away. She stood rigidly in place, looking at him in a panic as his nose bled even more fiercely. "Leng Youchen, you're still bleeding."

"I told you it's none of your business, get out!" Leng Youchen glared at her, his eyes full of malice.

In that instant, Anning thought she saw the shadow of that demon in him. But before she could get a more detailed look, he had already turned his head away to deal with the gushing nosebleed.

Wei Anning drifted out of the bathroom and leaned against the door, gasping for air. She couldn't bring herself to believe that the man who had looked at her so tenderly could be the same demon from the night before.

She must have seen it wrong, it had to be a mistake!

Time passed, and then there was movement behind her. The bathroom door opened. Leng Youchen rolled out in his wheelchair. Seeing her waiting by the door seemed to surprise him, "Why haven't you gone to sleep yet?"

Wei Anning rubbed her face, her eyes a mix of complex emotions as she observed him.

He was calm, facing her scrutiny without flinching, "What's wrong? Don't you recognize me?"

Wei Anning shook her head, convinced she was overthinking it. Leng Youchen was in a wheelchair; he couldn't possibly stand up. How could he be that demon?

"Has your nosebleed stopped?"

"Yeah."

"Are you sure you don't need to see a doctor?"

"There's no need, I'm a bit tired. Let's get some rest." After speaking, he didn't even look at her, but went straight to the bed, skillfully lifting himself onto it with his hands on the edge.

This action was incredibly practiced, as if he had been doing it all his life.

Wei Anning completely dismissed her doubts; if he wasn't actually disabled, his movements wouldn't be so adept. After hesitating, she went to the other side of the bed, pulled back the covers and lay down.
