Christone - Soul Energy Hunter

Liza shook her head. Still can't believe all the old man's words.

At first glance, a thought crossed Liza's head that everything that was happening to her now, including every word the old man said made her think that she was dreaming of visiting a fantasy world.

Adera? The legendary white witch? All those terms made absolutely no sense to Liza. Especially in modern times like now. Naturally, Liza felt very doubtful about the old man's words.

"But that's impossible, Sir. I don't know that name at all. My name is Liza, not Adera. And I'm only human."

Liza's confusing situation was suddenly replaced by an extraordinary sense of surprise when Liza accidentally lowered her eyes and looked at her hands which looked like they were transparent.

"My Godness!"

Not only his hands, but his body also seemed to be shadowed. Like see-through. Just like the form of wandering spirits that Liza usually sees in movies. Instantly Liza shuddered in fear.

"W--why is my body like this? Does this mean I'm… dead??" Liza panicked, her voice shaking from being so scared.

At first, the old man also thought that Liza was dead. Until he found a red chain wrapped around Liza's right ankle. The chain dangled long, from Liza's feet all the way out of the cave and through the forest. The end of the chain is so long that he can't see it. And from here, the old geezer realized what happened to Liza.

"It seems that Miss's spirit accidentally left the body and entered here, into the astral dimension."

"In--astral dimension?" Liza frowned in confusion.

The old man nodded. "Yes. The astral dimension is where the spirits of the dead, as well as the spirits here. The spirits can be jinn, ghosts, or demons."

Liza's eyes widened in horror. Just imagining the appearance of terrible astral creatures like that in cash made Liza shudder. The woman reflexively sharpened her vigilance, looking around to see if there were any of the creatures the old geezer spoke of.

"But don't worry. Seeing that this link chain is still attached to Miss's ankle, that means that Miss's spirit is still connected to Miss's physical body. It's not yet time for you to die."

"Thank goodness..." Liza sighed with relief.

"Then how can I return to my body, Sir? I really want to go home..."

The old man then pointed his index finger at the chain. "You just have to follow the chain at your feet to find the other end of the chain. That's where your exit is," explained Grandpa later.

Liza smiled brightly and immediately got up from her seat. "Okay, I'll go now. Thanks for the help, Grandpa!"

With limp steps, Liza then went to follow the chains on her feet according to the instructions from the spirit old man.

Actually, the old man wanted to take Liza home while talking, because he was still curious about Liza's physique and face which was very similar to the Miss Adera he knew. But seeing Liza's expression, who looked scared when she saw him, the old man let Liza go alone. After all, if Liza doesn't leave soon, it's feared that her spirit won't be able to return.

When Liza had walked quite a distance, she suddenly heard a loud bang from the direction where the old man's cave brought Liza earlier. Cash only Liza jumped in surprise.

BUUMMM!

The booming sound was like a huge explosion causing a very strong earthquake. Until it shook the ground that Liza stepped on. She paused for a moment.

"Gosh! Is that grandpa all right?" Liza thought with a worried mumble as she turned toward the source of the voice.

But, seeing the red chain that Liza was following was fading away, Liza panicked even more. She was afraid that she wouldn't come back. So Liza was forced to run fast following the chains, ignoring the thumping sounds.

Moments later, without Liza knowing she had reached the end of the chain. At the same time, Liza's body suddenly fell face down as if being crushed by something very heavy.

"Argh!" Liza screamed in panic and pain.

And a few seconds later when Liza opened her eyes, she had returned to her physical body.

Still with half consciousness and feeling her whole body in a lot of pain, Liza tried to get up from her prone position.

Looking around, Liza knew that she was now near the edge of the cliff whose condition looked very chaotic. And at the bottom of the deepest cliff, Liza could see the shapeless wreck of the crew's car burning. Causing a puff of smoke that suffocates the lungs and obscures Liza's vision.

Liza's blizzard disaster was not a dream. Liza really experienced it and was very lucky to survive death. Even though only suffered injuries.

And not long after, Liza caught the faint sound of an approaching ambulance. It was a group of disaster relief cars and also the police. Grateful that they came on time and were able to save Liza well.

While Liza was safe and taken to the hospital for treatment, something happened to the old geezer earlier in the astral dimension.

As Liza's spirit left the astral dimension, the old man was attacked by an army of beast-headed genies who also inhabit the mountainous region. There were about twenty jinns who happened to be in the area.

The thumping sounds that Liza had heard were the sounds of the battle between the old man and the genies.

"How dare you save prey for our Master!" growled one of the buffalo-headed genies, while continuing to throw fists at the old geezer.

The old man was still able to fend off the buffalo genie's attack even though he was struggling. Jump and dodge quickly. Choosing not to fight and trying to leave so as not to become the subject of the genie's gang.

"Stop!!"

An extremely loud and echoing voice instantly stopped the unequal battle.

A man dressed in the style of a medieval nobility came proudly. With a black robe with a red pattern covering his sturdy and stocky body.

The man's whole body also looks transparent--similar to the appearance of Liza's spirit earlier. It was certain that the man was also a spirit.

The man had a very handsome appearance, with fiery blood-red eyes, a cold and firm face, and short dark brown hair. Judging from his stature, maybe the man's age is quite mature, a little older than Liza.

Simultaneously, the genie troops paved the way for the man to pass, while bowing their heads as a sign of respect.

"Master ..."

The old man growled. His hands were clenched into fists as sharp eyes stared at the man called Master.

"Christone ..." muttered the old man quietly. His navy blue eyes gleamed as if he was holding back anger.

The man who was called Christone by the old man then raised one hand. Like signaling.

"You Guys, leave us alone!" Christone ordered loudly and firmly.

The genies then obeyed after answering the order politely. They immediately withdrew from the place.

"What are you doing here, Christ? Shouldn't you have eaten your fill of the souls of the humans who were just hit by the blizzard?" asked the old man sarcastically.

The man laughed. More accurately, laughing at the old geezer.

"There's no need to pretend like you don't know anything, Fausto. We both came here because we sensed the presence of a high-energy human soul that was just here. And I know, you saved her."

It was the old man named Fausto who was now chuckling. "And you came here to hold me accountable for taking your food?"

Christ who was amused by the question immediately turned around quickly and turned his back on Fausto's old man. Get ready to walk away.

"No. I'm too lazy to deal with the spirits of a weak old geezer like you. I'd better find that girl. She must not be far from here."

After saying that, Christ's spirit disappeared in the thick forest fog. He's gone from there.

Since Christ wanted to go in search of the human's whereabouts, he naturally couldn't travel in a spirit form like this. So Christ decided to return to his physical body.

The man's spirit flew at high speed. Following the red chain linking his body. Exit the forest and enter a settlement with a row of luxury resorts not far from there.

Entering through the walls of one of the resorts, Christ's spirit went straight to a large room that was super elegant and classy. And there, Christ's physical body lay peacefully on the big bed in the room.

As soon as his spirit was attached to his body, Christ slowly opened his eyelids and blinked occasionally to clear his vision.

As soon as the man's consciousness was complete, he suddenly felt an urge in his stomach, then a churning sound was heard. A sign that the soul energy of the humans he ate earlier was digested properly.

"Ahh ... I'm still hungry ...," complained Christ while rubbing his stomach.

Even though he had eaten the souls of the humans, Christ still felt hungry. Then he remembered the girl soul with great energy.

"That girl ..."

This was the first time Christ had encountered such great human soul energy. And a glimmer of curiosity appeared in his mind.

'Who's that girl? How could she possibly have such a large amount of soul energy? And if that human really has such a large amount of soul energy, it is clear that she is not an ordinary human.' Christ mumbled confidently.

The more Christ imagined the energy of that great girl's soul, the more Christ's hunger became unbearable. If Christ could eat that human's immense soul energy, he could at least be full for the next few months.

"I must have to get that girl!"
