chapter 4 - Talking about him

October

Mid-term arrived and we were given the weekend to celebrate Halloween in the hostel

And all the seniors prepared for an event called social night where both boys and girls would gather together in the school hall on a Saturday night to play games, music, dance have fun, and socialize with each other

we all prepared and chose the games to play, the music the drinks, and the snacks for the night

I could say it was one of my happy times in high school

That evening we were all excited and had high expectations for the upcoming event

we all put on our best hostel wear with different accessories we could scavage that had been smuggled into the hostel the previous year by our seniors

At 6 clock we all moved to the hall and started partying hard and having fun

we played the dancing game, truth or dare, freestyles, charades, Pictionary, who am I, kiss marry kill, don't say yes, pass the basketball and so on

The truth or dare was the most intense part where we roll a bottle and whoever the bottle picked would have to pick a truth or dare if you refuse to do your dare, you are asked to drink a shot of beer - don't know how they got a bottle of wine into the hostel -

It got to my turn and I picked truth of course

Then I was asked if I ever had a crush and I said yes and got into details of how he wasn't a student and was a uber driver was very handsome and trust thirsty highschoolers to want to get a perfect detail of how he looked like, and I got into details of how he lives exactly opposite our house and how we see and talk to each other every day - which of course was a lie-

The night ended well for me at least and since the whole truth or dare thing everyone started to look at me in a different light and how I wasn't boring and a prude

In all, I was partly glad I lied about my crush and the other was feeling a tiny bit guilty
