Chapter 8 II A New Task

Julia showed up at the home of a man named Lucas at 55:15. Julia took an online taxi to Lucas's house, even though Lucas had specifically told her she didn't need to bring a car. The taxi driver also happened to be Julia's new next-door neighbor. That way, Julia didn't have to stress about finding a driver so early in the day.

As Julia approached the gate, the guard greeted her. While inside Lucas's house, Julia spotted a middle-aged woman who had just returned from the market and the security guard. By inspecting her bags, Julia knew the woman had just returned from the market.

Julia could tell that Lucas was not an ordinary person by the large number of staff members at his home. Lucas grew up in a privileged environment. Perhaps Lucas was born into a privileged family. In a way, that's exactly what Julia thought when she first laid eyes on Lucas's magnificent house.

Julia kept her watch in her left hand and looked at it every so often. It had been fifteen minutes since six o'clock. Nonetheless, Lucas remained indoors. Julia, who had been standing, subsequently sat down in a chair on the porch.

Julia had to miss breakfast with her mom since she agreed with Lucas's order. In case you were wondering if Julia had breakfast yet, the answer would be yes. There was no need to worry about it just now. Instead of just one lunchbox, Julia brought two, both of which were similar. Both of them were for Lucas and Julia.

Julia had never been one to cook for other people before, but she decided to make breakfast for her boyfriend. Unlike some other girls, Julia was not a good thing in the kitchen. This is in stark contrast to Widya, who prepared tasty meals.

Julia made an effort to make a breakfast that didn't require much skill or time because she knew she wasn't a good cook. So, for today's breakfast, Julia made two chocolate sandwich servings and two cartons of chocolate milk.

"Lucas asked that I arrive before six o'clock. I've been waiting outside the house for about twenty minutes, but he still hasn't appeared. I hate to say it, but it sucks."

Even though Lucas didn't leave the house, Julia kept complaining that he hadn't either. If Lucas hadn't come out by 6:30, Julia was planning to leave his house. If Julia has to wait for an annoying person named Lucas, she may be late to class.

Just as Julia was about to snap, a man appeared from behind the white door. It was obviously the landlord, who had been trying Julia's patience.

Lucas said cheerfully, "Good morning, sweetheart."

Should not expect Julia to be moved by Lucas's nicknaming her.

As opposed to most girls, Julia didn't immediately adore anything Lucas did. Perhaps most girls like it when Lucas addresses them as "darling." Nonetheless, Julia was not like the others.

"Please, just finish your breakfast. We'll be late for class if we don't get moving" When Julia served him the lunch she had brought from home, he seemed satisfied.

In response to Julia's offer of food, Lucas accepted it. Concurrently, Lucas handed Julia the keys to his car.

"I can't drive," Julia said Lucas.

"Seriously?" Lucas enquired. So why am I bothering to invite you over to my place?"

"I take no responsibility for this. If you had told me beforehand, things could have gone more simply," For her part, Julia offered a defense.

What if I told you that tonight you'd be a great driver? The question came from Lucas who was staring at Julia.

Without masking her irritation, Julia said, "At least I don't have to waste my time just waiting for you in the early hours of the morning like this."

The man seemed to let go of the bag slung over one of Lucas' shoulders as an arrogant expression came on his face.

"You think not being able to drive will get you out of this punishment?" Lucas posed the question directly to Julia's gaze.

"If dreaming is what you want, then keep dreaming."

After handing Julia his bag, Lucas moved ahead of her.

Julia's fists were clinched as she tried to control her feelings. Julia intended to toss the bag, but accidentally threw her hand and hit Lucas in the head. A short time later, though, Julia dashed any hopes of it happening. In order to get rid of the man who constantly meddling in her life, Julia had to do what she was told by Lucas.

On the walk to class, Julia and Lucas didn't really talk to each other. But Julia did see that Lucas had eaten all of the meal he had served her. In the meantime, Julia had yet to eat anything.

It was a bad idea to eat in front of Lucas in the morning. You can count on that guy to interrupt Julia while she's trying to enjoy her meal in quiet.

"Where did you previously school? So, tell me, why did you make that move? Were you hoping to meet a boyfriend upon your arrival, and hence you moved specifically to this area?" While waiting at a red light, Lucas posed the question.

Julia replied forcefully, "I'm not obligated to answer your questions."

Which begs the question, "What did you just say if it wasn't an answer?" After hearing Lucas's question, Julia clenched her teeth in frustration.

For his part, Lucas laughed quietly as he saw Julia's efforts to suppress her feelings. When Lucas saw Julia smile at Moza, he became more furious than when she smiled at him.

He asked, "What made you willing to be Moza's friend?" After receiving an unsatisfactory response to his initial investigation, Lucas persisted in asking.

Julia responded, "Moza is a good girl."

"Do you really think she's a good girl?"

Julia responded with a confident, "Sure." At least Moza is a lot better than the guy next to me.

When Julia replied, Lucas burst out laughing again. However, after hearing that response, further questions about Lucas were dropped. Given that he has finally arrived at school.

Soon after the man pulled over, Julia threw Lucas' backpack out the window.

Stopping Julia as she opened the car door, Lucas remarked, "I will wait you on the rooftop at the first break."

The woman blinked at Lucas and then turned to him with a scowl. "Shouldn't work consist merely of taking you to and from school?"

"I just changed my mind," Lucas stated solemnly. Since your work on day one was so good, I've decided to increase your hours.

"How cunning of you. I swear to God, Lucas, I'll never have to deal with another man like you again! "exclaimed Julia as she climbed out of Lucas' car.

By slamming the car door so hard, Julia drew the attention of several passersby in the parking lot.

"You probably noticed that freshmen. She has recently boarded Lucas' vehicle."

"I had a feeling he'd be Lucas' next meal," she said.

"Sure enough, he was over at Lucas's last night playing tag."

As she made her way to class, Julia was the target of many murmured comments. Julia was a victim of Lucas'. It seemed like everyone was siding with Lucas and making fun of Julia, but why?
