Chapter 3 II A New Target

"Damn! She had the nerve to slap me."

Though he had just been slapped by Julia, a new student at the school, Lucas continued to cuss. The incident injured Lucas's pride and shocked him that a new student at Galactic High School would dare to assault the school's best-known person. It was clear that Julia wanted to cause issues between herself and Lucas on purpose.

One of Lucas' best friends, Neo, said, "I can't even blink seeing how that woman dared to smack you in front of so many people."

Travis thought that was pretty cool and went with the word "interesting" to describe it. " Anything so far, no woman has been able to succumb to Lucas's tempting advances."

As Travis spoke, Lucas thrilled. "I can't be sure that she doesn't have a thing for me."

Neo asked, "Do you believe Julia hit you because she fell for you?"

"Right! It's obvious she wants me to pay attention to her, "Lucas told Neo that it was true.

"However, what Julia did was unlike what the other girls had done in their attempts to get close to me."

"Are you going to let loose her, then? or would you rather teach her a lesson first?" Travis was wondering because he was aware of Lucas' pattern.

No matter how often a girl approached Lucas, he never turned her away. It was essential to Lucas that the woman coming to him get a sense of what it was like to be in his immediate vicinity, so he enabled her to do just that. Lucas gave the impression of being keen on the female in question. But ultimately, Lucas only played with the girl's heartstrings, abandoning her whenever he became bored.

"Obviously I won't be releasing her. If Lucas isn't good at playing with women's feelings, please don't call me Lucas Eleanor "Lucas stated in answer to Travis's concern.

However, due to the unexpected character of Julia's first impression, Lucas would not use the same tactic. And unlike any other women Lucas had ever met before.

Travis replied, "Julia is a nice girl," and both Lucas and Neo looked over at him.

His question made Neo wonder if this female was either good or bad.

Travis responded with, "I'm just making assumptions." "Julia's appearance will be revealed. To put it bluntly, she is uncomplicated. She's not like other girls her age."

"Not an easy task. There's nothing special about Julia. She has a really dull and unhip sense of fashion. Unfortunately, she obviously cannot care for herself "Travis didn't have Lucas's support.

"What first struck me about Julia was her lovely features. as well as naive, "Once Travis had switched seats and stated it once more.

He said, "If Julia is prepared to put on a little make-up, I think Julia will look as cute as Moza or Stevi, even more.

The words of Travis lingered in Lucas' mind. After Julia publicly slapped Lucas, it's hard to grasp why Travis would sing her praises.

"If you were Lucas, would you want Julia to sit beside you, or someone else? Julia may avoid Lucas in the future due to their previous fight "Neo speculated that Julia and Lucas might no longer share a table after this.

"I won't give Julia any opportunities to escape from me. The fact that she slapped me in front of everyone made us seem bad. Please don't hold it against me if things get a little more chaotic for Julia around here. "Seriously, Lucas added.

I guess we'll have to wait and see. Slowly but surely, Lucas would ruin Julia's life. The torture began when Lucas sent Julia soaring into the air and ended when he hurled her into the depths of the darkest grave.

"Welcome to my universe, Julia Amanda."

Julia had just finished using the restroom and made her way to class. Moza earlier offered to escort Julia to the restroom. But Julia was unmoved and insisted that Moza returned to the classroom first.

The mutterings of "Julia" and "Lucas" had not stopped since Julia had exited the restroom and passed several students. They talked about the day Julia boldly slapped Lucas in the cafeteria and how it made headlines.

However, Julia was still confused about who Lucas actually was. Oddly, it seemed like many people at this school knew Lucas. Julia was very aback by the fact that most of the comments defended Lucas and placed responsibility on her temperament.

OK! Julia acknowledged that her slapping of Lucas was unpleasant. But if Lucas hadn't been bothering Julia, she probably wouldn't have done it.

The new student's arrogance was remarkable, as one student said, "How could a new student slap Lucas?"

"Tch! That young lady is merely trying to gauge Lucas's feelings."

"She's hoping to catch Lucas' eye because she finds him attractive."

"I can guarantee that Lucas doesn't want to be friends with a coward like her."

"OK, now we wait and see. She'll be begging Lucas to adore her after this."

Julia hurried to class. She was hearing the malicious rumors that were spread about her by so many classmates made her ears red.

When Julia got to class, she looked all over for Moza but couldn't find her. Julia was one of only two other students in the room.

Shortly after arriving at her desk, Julia settled in to spend the next hour reading over the syllabus and other assigned readings.

Julia had barely settled into her chair before she noticed someone approaching. A guy called Lucas. The guy Julia slapped in the face became a hot issue among her fellow Galactic High Students.

"Gorgeous and dependable. Wow, what a perfect woman "Julia's irritation with Lucas's comments grew.

Julia reacted carelessly, "Thanks for the compliment."

When Lucas heard Julia's reply, he let out a quiet giggle. He had assumed that Julia would ignore his attempts at interaction.

"I was wondering if you had anything planned for tonight. If you're up for it, I'd want to take you somewhere," Pondered Lucas.

"Take this as my apology for my earlier rudeness."

"No need" Julia brushed off the suggestion. "I have already forgotten about it.

"Really? Those who have slandered you don't get on your nerves since you readily forgive them, right?" Lucas rested his head on the table to look at Julia.

"That proves that what Moza said was correct. I'm interested in how you're unique from other girls who might otherwise try to make friends with me."

"If you expect me to walk up to you, you will be disappointed. Call for an end to your arrogance, "Julia remarked. As she had previously stated, she did not accept the complaint.

"Uh, sure. How come you sat next to me then?" 'What would be up?' Lucas enquired.

"Because this is the last seat available."

After hearing Julia's response, Lucas nodded in agreement. Simple and easy to understand.

"So how? Would you like to join me tonight?"

"No," Julia replied. I've accepted your apology, so please stop beating yourself up over it."

"You let me off the hook because you were pleased with slapping me in crowd?" Julia put down her book as she heard Lucas's voice again.

"I'm sorry for slapping you," Julia said to Lucas, releasing her pent-up apology.

Perhaps Julia's moods were too swingy. However, Julia's mother emphasized the need to apologize as soon as possible after she committed a blunder. Julia was not entirely correct in her response to Lucas, even though she made a mistake because Lucas had slandered her."

"Just that?"

"Yes."

"To put it bluntly, I'm not a forgiving person. That someone has publicly humiliated me."

Julia put down her book and gave Lucas her full attention.

Julia replied clenched, "What shall I do to get forgiveness from you?"

Luke straightened up in his chair. Lucas and Julia exchanged glances that took in one other's faces.

Lucas paused thoughtfully before continuing, "It's easy."

Lucas stopped his face right ahead of Julia's left ear.

"Come spend the night with me. And I will see to it that you do not come to regret sacrificing your pride for me "Lucas's voice was barely audible as he smiled crookedly at the end of a whisper.

When Julia overheard Lucas make such a request, she immediately said no. Julia insisted that she was not the type of low-class girl who gave Lucas a place to act out his desires.

"The table is set for you to be the first to try it out. Trust me, you'll love it "Lucas remarked gently.

"Please stop bugging me to play with you, Lucas. Simply put, I will not accept to a jerk like you." Following her comment to Lucas, Julia hurried off.

He realized that the loss of Julia and her rejection did not let Lucas easily give up. And Lucas wanted to cause even more disruption in Julia's life.

"Don't come anywhere near me. And in the meantime, I'll keep trying to win you over and make you fall in love with me."
