He had injured and broken the limbs of more than a dozen people for itching in his hands.

Just what kind of crazy demon was he? Her back stiffen as she wondered if she was ready for this kind of enemy or friend.

"Do not worry, he will not beat you but the person who had bullied you." assured the man as he patted the shoulders of Olivia and she nodded.

Since she had come so far, she would rather go in and see what kind of monster he was!

She entered to see that lights were lit perfectly when mostly the gamlbing houses have dim light and slow music to keep the players a bit distracted and intoxicated so that they could rob them easily.

But the place was empty with just a group of men dressed in the uniform of knights sitting at the farthest corner and having drinks by themselves.

Their voices and chuckles were loud enough to fill the whole room. The man smiled and gestured to Olivia to follow him towards them when she felt something wasn't right.

Though everyone would have the same uniform as knights, their height and stature felt like she had seen them somewhere.

Wait! They were the men whom she had met in the market.

On the other corner in the room, Alex was sitting alone while enjoying the strong taste of beer on the first floor when her eyes fell on the old man but he ignored him until he felt the presence of someone else with him.

That person? A dark and vicious ray of lights passed his eyes when he realized Olivia was there.

He was looking for a chance to meet him alone since the time she had stolen her ruby ring from him. He held the railing of the first floor and then jumped down creating the sound of thud making every head turned towards him.

While everyone had a frown on their face, Olivia's eyes were cold but there was not a hint of surprise in them.

His eyes grew deeper as he had thought that she would be shocked but her face did not give a hint of surprise much less shock!

Alex glanced at her for a few more seconds before starting to walk towards her when everyone noticed her presence and stood up abruptly from their seats.

Why was she here? Did she not love her life?

"I have never thought that we will cross paths this soon. Have you sent the old man to plead with me again and again?

And here I thought that you did not like me the way you treated me in the market! Who would have thought that it was just a ruse when you have feelings for me in your heart up to the limit that you would bring me here with such sweet lies." showing all her canine teeth she smiled as if she was dealing with a helpless crush when she felt a dagger on her neck but her expressions did not change.

When everyone shivered feeling the killing aura of their master she smiled brightly as if she was dealing with a naive child. Her smile did not have any fear but a certain kind of pampering tone.

"Tsk! This is not a way to hide your lover! What if I get angry and leave at once!?" she asked again, holding the dagger and moving it away from her neck.

She knew that his intention was not to kill her. At least not yet! There was no blood lust in his eyes even when he was emitting his killing aura.

"Are you not afraid that you will not leave this place alive?" His tone was light as a feather but underneath those eyes was the threat that she was done for.

"You will not kill me. Though you are infuriated, you have never hurt an innocent person, not to forget that I am a law-abiding kind man and a good warrior.

You need people like me." he raised a brow at a higher level of confidence and pressed the dagger tightly, piercing her fingers.

"Tsk tsk! Do not tell me that you are such a child who can not accept the truth? If you behave like that, I will leave and would never accept another meeting from you." she challenged, surely that he would not hurt her.

Everyone sucked a deep breath in. They could ot believe that there was such a person who could treat their master as a kid and even chide him.

What kind of man was he? They all stared at Olivia with horror. When Alex had not attacked him in the market, they thought that it was due to the public but he was behaving the same here too.

"Master, if you want to kill her but are worried that it could create a scandal then don't worry. We will hide his body in the basement of the gambling house where no one would ever find him (Olivia).

Her head turned to Ethan again who felt more confident when felt a strong stare and noticed that it was not his master but Olivia.

"If you want to join the troop, then you have to return my ruby ring first.'' Everyone was so shocked with Alex's reply that they did not know how to react.

They thought that he would beat her and throw her out just like the men of the gambling house but he was offering her a seat in the troop. And what ring?

Was Ethan right when he said that they have a story together.

"Putting conditions, my my! But first I want to give you a look at this contract that the old man had signed on your behalf!"
