--- Chapter 6 ---
Inside of a peculiar shaped room with blooming flowers seated on the edge - two individuals could be seen talking to each other.
"Eiji, do you know how worried I was?! You could've given me a call to tell me that you are going to be coming late! But no, instead you come 3 hours late, 3 hours! I thought you had died!"
"Mom, but-"
"No buts! *Sigh* Make sure to ready yourself, we are going to your new school so you can take the exam."
The young boy, named Eiji, grabbed the side of his face in exasperation while the mother turned away and huffed slightly.
'I shouldn't have made those stops...'
Eiji had thought that since he was already late, then he should just go even later. Realising soon after he came home, that this would be a big mistake.
His mother had rushed to him with the intensity of a female tiger, and berated him for a solid 2 hours. It wasn't pretty.
Eiji sighed and got himself out of the comfort of his bed, and walked to his closet before taking some clothes to wear for this 'special' occasion.
'Hopefully, all goes well...'
Although, he thought optimistically on the inside, he had a small irritating feeling on the back of his head that today would be another troublesome day.
---
"Eiji, I'll be going off to work now! Make sure to do well on the exam alright? I believe in you!"
Eiji's mother, Azumi, had given her son a quick speech of encouragement and pecked him on the cheek before setting off to her stressful job.
Eiji, on the other hand, glanced behind him to see his mother's car speed away before looking at the colossal school in front of him.
'Out of all schools, why pick one that had recently turned mixed...' Eiji thought to himself before walking towards the entrance of the Academy.
Indeed. The school that Eiji is going to start attending, had recently been an all-girls school that had turned mixed.
'Well, this isn't too good for me...'
Eiji knew for a fact, that the moment he entered the school there would be a lot of staring and finger-pointing at him. After all, it's not an everyday thing when you see a boy - immediately after the school had turned mixed.
The young boy sighed and mentally prepared himself for the on-coming mass of attention, before taking a step through the gates.
'As expected...'
The moment Eiji had stepped through the gates, an onslaught of finger-pointing and whispering immediately attacked him.
The youth just shook his head lightly at this, and began walking towards the examination room to take his test.
However, after a couple steps from his previous position, Eiji stopped. In the corner of his eyes, he barely caught a flash of light green, almost resembling lime, that passed as quickly as it came.
Eiji snapped his head towards the place where he had seen the colour, only to be greeted by a group of girls smiling at him.
'Wasn't that...'
Eiji, who had frozen himself on the ground, immediately started moving again while thinking whether he was hallucinating or not.
He had a strong hunch that he wasn't, and another hunch that he knew who that person was. Although, there's a chance that he just saw something else and was just getting ahead of himself.
'But if it is... then this might get a whole lot more interesting.'
Eiji's lips slowly, but surely, began tilting upwards as he strode into the examination centre with confidence.
'System, put the stat point into intelligence.'
[Affirmed. Intelligence raised to 6.]
Hearing the system's robotic voice reply to his request made his smile even wider. Knowing for a fact, that he couldn't bare to fail this test if one of the greatest minds of humanity is here.
Eiji's slight smile has turned into a full-blown smirk, giving a glance one last time behind him before the doors closed.
Unaware, that he had unknowingly caught their attention the moment he stepped into the school.
---
A few hours had passed since Eiji had entered the den of torture. Out off all the words that wandered around his mind, the most fitting for this, idiotic, exam would be hellish.
Each question was infinitely harder than the last, and by quite a large margin at that. His intelligence level that he had raised to be comparable to a top-student, wasn't enough to ace this test.
However, although he had struggled quite a bit at the end, the other were not as lucky as him. At the beginning of the test, 1/4 of the people that had initially attended had left with tears stained on their cheeks.
Halfway through the test, a half of the remaining amount also left due to having multiple breakdowns. Leaving only a measly, 15 students behind.
As some of you may have guessed, that 15 had slowly shrieked to 2 at the end of the test. One of them being me, and the other being the man who had swore to revive all of humanity from the stone age.
'Senku Ishigami.'
Eiji leisurely glanced at the young man with a slender figure and light green hair tapping his desk confidently. He had finished his test the moment the first 1/4 of the initial amount, had left.
'I wouldn't expect any less...'
Eiji gently began swirling the pen on his hand as he answered the last question, exactly at the ring of the clock sitting against the wall.
'Although there will be a point where I will be on par, or even surpass that intelligence of his.' Eiji thought while putting his head onto his left palm.
"Examinations finished! All remaining students stop writing!"
A thunderous shout from the man sitting at the front, broke both Eiji and Senku from their trailing thoughts.
The man, seeing their attention focused on him, gave a deep cought before speaking once again. This time in a much more calmer tone.
"Congratulations to those remaining! We will mark the test and give you the results within a weeks notice! I hope to see at least one of you attend the new semester! Dismissed!"
With the man's announcement ending, the last two males both got up from their seats and walked towards the exit, both taking a glance at each other. The two individuals then turned away and left each other to their thoughts as they neared the end of the path.
However, just as Eiji was about to step out, a voice filled with confidence called out to him.
"Hey."
Eiji turned his head to look at the man who had called out to him and raised an eyebrow. Senku Ishigami stood a couple meters away from him, his hands inside his pocket with his signature crooked grin staring right at him.
"Yes?"
Eiji immediately questioned the green-headed man, wondering what he wanted from him. This caused the latter's smile to widen even further.
"Since we are the last two remaining, you wanna go to the place nearby for lunch?"
Eiji's eyes narrowed, unable to figure out what the man wanted from him.
'Although, this is also a good chance for me to know him.' After all, Eiji was quite curious about the scientist ever since he had watched Dr.Stone.
"Sure."
While hiding his true thoughts inside, Eiji have the celery haired man a smile before agreeing to follow him to a restaurant.
Getting a couple photos taken, and a very large amount of giggles along the way.
Eiji just sighed once again, feeling that he might sigh himself to death sooner or later.
'*Sigh* I wonder what you want to ask me... Senku.'
---
Inside of a quite desolate cafè, two good-looking males could be seen lackadaisically sipping their drinks.
One of them gazed outside, whilst the other seemed to be in deep thought, giving the atmosphere a quite tense and unsettling vibe.
"Hey."
The green-haired man, who was previously deep in thought, broke the silence first, causing the other youth to look at him questioningly.
"...What's...your goal?"
Senku, for the first time, took his time to ask a question to our protagonist, making the latter raise his eyebrows in confusion.
"What do you mean?"
Senku's eyes, that were initially quite relaxed and cheerful, immediately tensed and became quite piercing. His entire happy-go-lucky persona immediately disappeared, making Eiji slightly surprised.
"What's your goal? Unlike the others, who had came here relaxed and confident only to leave the test in misery, you seemed to be... prepared?"
The green-haired boy, for the first time in his life, had asked another in confusion about his demeanor, causing the former to dart his eyes. Unfortunately for Senku, he couldn't see the slightly blush on Eiji's ears as he heard this.
'Wait, wait, wait. Isn't this a whole misunderstanding? This guy thought I came to the test prepared, but the only reason I came prepared was because of the attention I was going to receive.' The more Eiji thought about it, the more embarrassed he became, but that rapidly vanished when Senku set his eyes on him again.
"Anyways, you must have a goal to come to the most prestigious school while finishing their test quite composed and it's made me quite intrigued, for the first time in ages."
Senku mashed his hands together as his eyes started narrowing. His posture straightened as he began to utter the last words he had thought about.
"So, won't you tell me what your goal is..? Is it to advance humanity, or transfer us to another world, or anything else of that sort. I'm quite sure that you dream must be big."
Eiji's hands that were drumming on the table, froze for a couple of seconds as he thought about Senku's words.
'My dream?'
His mind started to spin as he thought about what his purpose was. At first, it was to become a big streamer and drown himself at the attention of his fans, although that had quickly changed after living with his mother.
He didn't just have one dream now, he had many. Yes, his top-priority is to become a big streamer, but he now had other goals as well. Maybe becoming an actor, or singer. A musician, or maybe a comedian. His thoughts had drastically changed ever since he had received this 'dating system' from Zeus.
While Eiji was plagued by his inner thoughts, Senku eyed patiently at him with interest, awaiting his response.
After a few minutes, that almost seemed like hours, Eiji finally decided to answer the man in front of him.
"My dream..."
