Chapter 11: Plans

[Prelude to Chaos Arc]

🌸

Hmmm... A person just can't seem to just move on with the happenings lately. One moment, they were battling Rose Reaper and the next thing, they were back in the academy doing assignments and trying to pass tests.

Luckily, they never needed to study.

Urika sighed as she put on the answer of the final question on her answer sheet. Sometimes, being a princess had its perks but mostly it has nothing but downsides spelled in bold letters. Being sent to dangerous missions for example and then being sent to a prestigious school trying to ace your exams.

Urika sat on the seat opposite Saya and began to devour her lunch. "So, how's your exams? Are the questions easy?" for her it was.

"Sort of. I never studied for them." Saya said nonchalantly. She laughed at her.

"Saya, you never study for anything." Kiede said with a deadpanned look.

"Hey! That's insulting. I study... sometimes." And at that, they all laughed at her, even her knight, Haji did which kind of surprised them a bit. They didn't know he was capable of laughing. He seemed to be stoic most of the times.

"You know, it's kind of strange." Sumire said.

"What is?" Uruka asked.

"That somehow, everything's back to normal." Sumire replied.

Thay all got silent after that.

"You know, I think we all need to take a break after all that's happening." Kiede said, surprising all of us.

"Yey! A vacation!" Rinne exclaimed enthusiastically, and rather loudly that it made everyone in the cafiteria turn to look at them.

"But are we allowed to do that?" Urika asked. "Going on a vacation I mean."

"I'm pretty sure it's okay." they turned around because of that familiar voice. Red, fiery hair and eyes greeted them.

"Sis!" Saya exclaimed which spoke all of their probable thoughts.

Seya smiled at her sister and then politely smiled at the rest in the table. She seemed to be an introvert at most unlike her twin sister, Saya who was the happy-go-lucky one.

"So, it's really okay for us to go on a vacation?" Rinne asked with twinkling eyes.

Seya laughed softly and patted Rinne's head like an older sister. "Yes. I already asked permission for you guys. With all that's happening, you deserve a break." Even though she's just months older than us, she seemed like a real big sister right then.

Rinne fist-bumped the air in excitement. We all juat shrugged at her antics.

🌸

Kiede yawned as she listened to music inside the van.

This time, instead of riding a limo, they went on riding a van instead. It will be rather flashy if they went to the beach riding a limo.

She glanced at the others around jer. They seemed to be having fun. Even the ever stoic Haji and Kiari were slightly smiling which was a weird phenomenon.

Kiede sighed and slightly smiled at their antics. Chiaki seemed to notice her smiling that he smiled widely at her. She rolled her eyes at him. He really was overly smiley at times that it somehow annoyed her yet manages to make her smile the slightest bit.

🌸

After maybe a hellish two-hour trip, they all went outside the van and headed straight to a beach house. They rented one because, as everyone said, they were on vacation. But they didn't rent the entire beach, --which they were very capable of doing--That would make people suspicious of them. So they just went and rented a beach house.

They were going to spend their two-day vacation on the beach in the human world as what was picked in the lottery back at the main palace. And even though the beaches back in their homes are surrealy beautiful, there's still the possibility of responsibilities and that was not the main goal of their vacation.

After settling all of Kiede's things with her knight, Chiaki's help, she immediately went to the bathroom to change her clothes into her swimsuit.

Kiede looked at the mirror and saw her usual silver eyes and pale blue hair. Her swimsuit was aquamarine in color and had white snowflake prints on it, accentuating her hourglass figure.

She wore a semi- transparent fabric and tied it to her waist. She saw Chiaki standing by the doorway wearing nothing but dark blue beach shorts with nothing to cover his chest which was... It can only be described as remarkable.

Kiede shook her head of these thoughts and walked towards him. "Let's go."

Chiaki looked at her and seemed shocked. His brown eyes flickered somewhere and an unknown emotion crossed his ember eyes before it disappeared without a trace.

He blinked several times before he bowed his head. "Your Highness, this way." He said.

Kiede walked ahead of him and she felt weird. Why didn't he grin at her like usual?

Hey guys! Sorry for not updating for like, centuries! I have been on absolute author's block. That I think this chapter was written on a pretty much on-the-spot kind of way. I absolutely become shocked at whatever I have written and ask myself. "Did I really write this?" so yeah, I'm pretty much an airhead right now.

I hope that you enjoyed this fun and slightly short chapter. I hope you share this to your folks and vote!
