Hunting Grimm

I landed straight into the ground leaving a massive crater. Throughout the fall I used dessert trail to slow my dissent so only the final landing was directed towards me and the ground. With a purple wave the black panther landed near me and a similar crater formed from Mirko. We synchronised our headset to the local encrypted frequency so we could communicate.

We intend to hunt solo or in pairs with the younger generation pairing off. We heard an engine humming so looked up to see Rex lowering himself with some sort of hover device strapped to his back which deconstructed back into him when he landed. So his tech quirk must be similar to the powers his show version had minus the undo evo bit.

Ruby and Weiss landed close to each other with Weiss using glyphs and an insect construct to land while ruby turned her body to rose petals in a similar matter to myself. Lastly korra bounced off the ground in a massive wind bubble like she was zorbing down a hill.

We split into our groups and went our separate ways to cover more territory. Weiss and Rex partnered together so ruby and korra formed the other pair. They asked why I didn't make a pair with one of the other two but I told them we didn't need it. Japan's hero standards are higher than most of the world which is why all might is held in such high regard abroad.

After two hours ruby and korra were able to find their target. "Beowulf" a wolf type nomu that was given the powers of animal instinct and cloning. Their battle was fierce and ended horribly. Ruby was over reliant on her support items of the gun scythe. They had about eighty to deal with and she took out twenty four with the sniper mode. The rest were all close combat. The problem with their group was Korra.

She fought wildly firing out flames which were not useful in this cold mountainous environment. She didn't weaponise her water properly and just used it to push them back. Air wasn't her strong suit and the clones don't need to breath so it didn't help her using it the way she fights. Earth was easy to avoid with their quirk. The result was a massive slash on her stomach that led to her bleeding out. Ruby managed to kill them all by finding the original and decapitating it in exchange for her scythe being destroyed.

Weiss and Rex faired far better as they had to face "nevermore". A nomu given aviation abilities of a bird along with the ability to fire of razor sharp feather bullets. When Rex distracted it with his concrete canon blaster Weiss circled around and tried to stab it. The nevermore realised so it fired at random resulting in her loosing a finger from her hand not holding the rapier she fights with.

Rex uses a boot construct to jump and then used a saw blade construct to shred into its torso resulting in its death. It died because Weiss used a gravity glyph in her rage pulling it down to his striking distance. After this they regrouped with ruby and found Korra dead. They chose to recover the body by taking her to the pick up point so they could bury her in her home country.

Rumi or Mirko has to hunt "beringel", a gorilla with strength enhancement and active camouflage quirks. Her enhanced senses allowed her to detect it before it attacked. As it struck towards her she faked her lack of noticing the beast so when it got within range she delivered a Luna ring when it was within range and crushed its head. The opponent was easy for her who could solo multiple high end nomu so this weaker version was a piece of carrot cake for her.

Black panther had it tougher as he had to hunt taijutu who was a friend of his before being taken and experimented on. His quirk allowed him to elongate his body like a snake so he was made

Into one. He gained a snake like body with poison abilities. His suit nullified most of them so once he was encountered it in its cave he jumped towards it bathing in the poison smog it spewed out. He reached its head and clawed its eyes resulting in a thrashing which destabilised the cave. While it was distracted he reached its neck and managed to strangle it to death. He then proceeded to burn the body and follow his cultures customs.

Sabaku had the shortest and best fight by far. He easily found the "Goliath" which had a permanent gigantification quirk and one that made it stronger as well as omnivorous. When it tried to smash him with its trunk he turned to sand and wrapped around it. He used a move called sand coffin which he copied from gaara so as to rip the trunk apart.

Afterwards he jumped to the underside of the beast and delivered massive cuts to its under belly with his sables. Then he delivered an Aquarius Ken brick fist to destroy one of its legs. While it lowered itself in pain he jumped into the air using his dessert trail and finished it with an axe kick towards the centre of its head, right between the eyes a miniature crater resembling his heel could be found but the innards of its skull have been destroyed.

He used ryou and armament on his heel to deliver the fatal blow before signalling he finished it off. After that the government crew arrived to dispose of the bodies as they were highly toxic. The man responsible was apprehended by a separate team which included Ruby's sister yang and her friend Blake.

The ride back was rather depressing as the younger people mourned Korra however in the hero society such deaths were common place. The Chinese official was greatly displeased as he made the call to a man called tenzen to let him know what to tell her family. Sabaku will not be attending the funeral however he did send a donation to her family to assist with the funeral.

Once they arrived back to Vancouver the team decided to relax and see the city while Weiss got her finger reattached by a local healer quirk user. The mission was a success and sabaku managed to make some friends through it as he bonded with Rex and ruby well enough. That night they all decided to head out to party
