Chapter Four
The next morning amidst the cool weather and refreshing breeze that blew from the casement windows ,Judi woke up lazily yawning .
She turned to look at Richard who was still fast asleep and shook her head in disgust .
“Whoever thought that a handsome man like you would turn out to be a dangerous criminal !
The joy of having an innocent face but deep down ,you are a brutal demon ,Richard Yap ! ”Judi pushed his hands away from her with a wince on her face .
She then nonchalantly stared at him until she was tired looking at his handsome face .
"In your mind ,you think you are every woman's fantasy !
No doubt about that ,if you had not been a criminal then I'd have loved to be in your arms but unfortunately ,you are !
So sorry about that !"Judi played around his face with a fruit knife .Once she was done dressing up ,she turned to look at Richard with a smirk on her face .
”Poor man ! He'd wake up thinking that something really happened between us ,hehe !
If only he knew that I drugged him last night and brought him here only to make him my puppet !
TikTok! TikTok! I have only twenty-seven days to gather enough evidence against you ,Richard Yap .
Don't worry ,I now have extra keys to your house so we'd be sharing it now !”Judi thought for a while wearing a smirk on her face before leaving for her next mission .
Once she reached for her car keys and sped off ,she received a call from her boss .
*Detective ! How are things going with the mission ?
Do you have any information yet about the illegal activities of Yap Art Paintings Cooperation ?*Detective Ian Coony asked desperately at his end .
"No sir ! I don't have any information however ,I will be finding some no sooner than later .
Right now , I'm heading towards Richard Yap's mansion where I believe I can find some clues of their underground secrets .
Trust me sir ,just as I have sworn an oath to you and this city to bring down criminals ,I will not fail you at all ."
*It's good to know that detective ! One more thing ,no matter what happens ,you must not involve emotions in this mission because emotions can cause us to lose our target ! *
"Sure sir !"
Judi parked her car a few distance from Richard Yap's mansion and monitored it's security for a while .
She then pulled out a sheet of paper containing the entire house plan of Richard Yap's mansion and breathed a sigh of relief .
“Hmph ! There you are ! Now that I have your entire mansion at my disposal ,it won't be so difficult sneaking into it despite its tight security .
Jodi Sta.Maria has never been afraid of taking risks in her life .
Thank you Richard Yap because your desperation to get me into your bed for a night has caused your own downfall calculatingly .
I hacked into your phone last night and got to know who your architect is .
And that foolish architect at the expense of being kept at a gunpoint had no choice than to give me your entire house plan and all of its secret entries .
Now that I have such salient information ,I will come to know what you are hiding ,Richard Yap !
I will be back ..!”Judi drove away from his house before the security could smell something fishy .
At the other end ,Richard woke up with a strong headache as the sunlight from the casement windows spread its radiant light across the entire room .
He really couldn't recall what had happened the night earlier however ,he could recall that he was with Judi the night earlier and they were having some fun together .
“Argh! Did I really drink that much last night ?”He rubbed his hands on his face and then through his long pushed back hair .
He then recalled the kisses and caresses the night earlier with Judi right on the same bed he sat on after which , whatever that happened after ,he couldn't recall .
Once he drifted the sheets aside ,he drew only one conclusion to what happened the night earlier "Judi and I bonked ?
Unbelievable ! But where's she ? "
He stepped down from the bed and put on shorts .
"Judi ! Judi ,babe ! Where are you ?"He went round the apartment looking for her .
"She's not here too ? Where could she have gone too ?
Did she have to leave suddenly ? Even without a goodbye ? "Richard returned to the bedroom and saw a note on the bedside drawer .
“Hey Richie ! The little time we both spent together was worth it .
Every single minute felt like forever by your side despite all those petty misunderstandings .
I want you to know that last night for me wasn't a mistake but the most memorable part of my life hence I'd keep that in the archive of my memories .
I needed to rush back to Thailand for some important work .
Sorry if I couldn't say a proper goodbye to you before leaving, however ,I want you to know that you will always have a special place in my heart .
I appreciate whatever there was between us , whatever that it was !
Judi Hopps ....!”Richard read out Judi's note for me with a wince on his face .After reading ,he angrily folded the paper and threw it aside .
"Damn it ! "He hit his fist on the bedside drawer but was destructed by a call .
“Alright I will be there in no time ..!”Richard said after listening attentively to what the person at the other end had to say .
In no time ,he arrived at an old construction site where a man in dark shades was standing .
Judi followed closely till they entered the place since she was stocking Richard all this while right from when he exited the apartment .
“What kind of a place is this ? Who organizes a meeting at such a shabby place ?”Judi muttered to herself before pulling her camera to take records of everything .
"So where's that person whom you wanted me to meet ,Mike ? "Richard asked, looking around .
“There he comes sir !”Mike said, pointing in his direction .
“Sir ,meet Robert Bruce ! The man I told you about .
He wants to do business with us !
Robert Bruce ,meet my boss Richard Yap !”Mike, who appears to be Richard's right hand man , did the introduction .
"Robert Bruce ,haha ! It's nice meeting you !
Till date ,only those with balls have been able to stand up to Richard Yap and so your charisma has shown me how brave you are .
I hope you know that the slightest mistake you make can determine whether you live here alive or not !"Richard made his point emphatically clear .
“Of course I know that Richard ! I also know how good your business deals are and that's why I've come to strike a deal with you !
I have acquired illicit antiquities in my custody of which you can make millions out of if you help me bid it at good auctions .
Think about it Richard ,this is a very good business proposal and these illicit antiquities aren't just any ordinary ones, instead they are from opulent royal palaces and museums of ancient ruins .
You wouldn't want to miss out on this deal ! ”Robert explained his business proposal .
“Illicit antiquities from opulent royal palaces and museums of ancient ruins ?
Holy goodness ! How low could you stoop for money Richard Yap to the extent of robbing the cultural heritage of sovereign countries !
I've never seen a wretched man like you before ! ”Judi angrily thought about stretching out her neck to eavesdrop and record their conversation but unfortunately for her ,the table she stood on took a twist and caused her fall causing her to shout in agony .
“Argh ! ”
"What was that ? Go check it out ,someone might have probably been eavesdropping on us all this while !''Richard instructed his men pulling out his gun ready to fire at anyone who came his way .
He as well as Robert quickly left from the backdoor while his men kept searching the whole area for the one who was eavesdropping on them .
“Search the entire place thoroughly ! If the culprit gets away then all of you will pay with your heads ! ”Mike instructed the men .
Richard got home very upset upon knowing that someone had gotten a hint on their plan .
Upon all these years that his father ran this illegal art business and covered it up with their good reputation and name in society ,it never crossed his mind that one day he'd have to pay for all those crimes hence anyone who got in his way ,was gotten rid of !
"What do you mean you didn't find that person ,huh ?
Is that why I pay you a bunch of idiots ,huh ?
I want to find that person who has the guts to step into my reign and make sure to bring him or her alive because if you don't then forget sleeping for a temporary time ,I will send you all straight to hell !
Idiots ! "Richard thru the phone to the floor angrily after calling off the call.
