CHAPTER 5 An army of 30.

"Uh so brother?" she asked keeping her gaze on the forest. " What is it?" he pulled back on his horses reigns.

" Hm... nevermind." What ever she was going to say she was hesitant about it.

This made her brother feel worried but he didn't say anymore on the topic.

"Alright." He lowered his head and drove his heel into his horse's side to drive the dark mare forward until he was in front of the hoard of people. Then he began to speak. " Prince Joan and Princess Elizabeth are the only ones who need guards from the Castle sense there are 60 of you soldiers Prince Joan will get 30, and Princess Elizabeth will get 30. You all will listen to their every order and will obey their every command. Do you all understand this!" Prince Luke shouted for all to hear, the soldiers stood up straight and voiced in unison

" YES SIR!!!!!!!" Prince Luke looked towards his younger brother James.

" Prince James, we seem to be heading in the same direction so do you wish to come along with me?" Luke gazed at James questionally. " Sure, my dear brother." James smiled and gave his horse a quick kick to catch up with Luke.

...

After the sorting of the 30 soldiers for each sibling Joan came up to Elizabeth.

"Well Eli, we won't see each other for a while from now so I would like to give you my fair well." He said rather formally not giving a emotion of sadness or cheerfulness.

" I see, it seems you have taken General Davis along with you aswell?" Elizabeth said with a feeling of relief from being away from such a noisy person.

" Ah yes. I'll give him to you if you want him. It's just he has some interesting story's and I want to hear more of them." her brother said seeming kind of reluctant to let the old man go.

" Oh no, No! I don't want him you can keep him. I don't mind, besides he makes Fred really agitated it's best he not come with me." she sent a smile towards her brother, he returned her a smile of his own. " Well I should get going I unfortunately have a long way to travel still...." He said tightening his hold on the reigns. " I bid you fairwell, my brother." she watched as he drove his heel into the scrawny mare. Elizabeth could have sworn that the mare hated him but what could you do about it? Joan rallied his soldiers and moved out onto the graveled pathway leading to his destination. She watched as his small figure faded into the distance with his small army behind him...
