82 Chapter 76 - Proposal

I don't know if this is rush but I tried my best and sorry if I don't update this as much since I haven't gotten some inspiration to write unlike my other fic.

For those who keep asking for more chapter please wait since I'm busy with school and personal life. I can't write while I'm distracted with activities and school projects.

However, I will try my best to keep pumping chapters when I can. Just be Patience.

Having arrived to meet the Tengu in order to negotiate and provide mutual assistance with one another. Erix intended to add their village to his growing territory considering his power and influence makes him stronger every time he expands his reign. He could invade other countries but that wouldn't be ideal considering conflict with too many enemies could destroy the world but then again other countries won't be willing to cooperate with each other when there isn't a benefit if anything they are likely to join Erix.

However the biggest reason why he doesn't simply invade and take everything by force is because it is too easy and boring making it more exciting when he slowly lets them collapse from the inside by making his enemy conspire with each other leading to their destruction lessening the resources spent by their own forces.

He simply needs to concentrate in establishing his nation before reaping the seed he planted and faint in the one he sent to each country. Erix knows human ambition quite well and can easily stir their hearts forcing them to be blinded by their vanity. The cunning minds of Jibril, Slaanesh and Demiurge would result in those countries falling into ruin allowing Erix to take advantage of it.

"First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for allowing us to meet." At the moment, Erix said sitting on Seiza considering he was Japanese in both life, though the first life was unclear and hazy therefore he was unsure if it true but felt his intuition point in that direction. Regardless he has his japanese habits ingrained into him with his parents since they were traditionalist and loved old traditions envying those who saw the beauty of the world before its corrosion.

"Bare it no mind, for someone who saved my friend and his family is worth meeting. I also wish to give my thanks for saving Yuina and the ogre villages and apologize for not being able to send reinforcements, Yuina." Kaede looked at her old friend with a hint of shame and anger.

Yuina still feels the sting of her former husband's betrayal even if he discarded them doesn't change the fact he was once the father of her children and a kind of man blinded by his ego and ambition.

It was the same for Shuna felt saddened at the tragic reality of her father's views towards them. She still remembers times he was kind and loving that it pains her how things had turned out. This all happened a couple of weeks ago and the memory is still fresh in their mind. However, whatever they felt doesn't matter anymore and focuses their mind towards their new master who saved them from doom. They became stronger and better than before led by a component man who served his people and in turn served him.

"Well, we can continue our conversation later, I'm eager to hear what your proposal is for us." Kaede couldn't act weak and stood her ground despite the chances of winning being slimmed. He may have saved her friend doesn't mean his intention might be pure.

Erix words surprise her wondering if she was easy to be read or if he had unique skill for it but couldn't send anything anomaly beside Yuina, Shuna and Shion unfazed by his words because it was obvious since they could easily leave them but decided to offer their help for a problem that wasn't related to them.

"However, I'm fair as those who are willing to serve me would benefit greatly. Everyone still can freely decide to accept or not but the moment I am betrayed then I would be ruthless." Erix's words were reasonable and Kaede didn't see any problem in his words. The thought of betrayal would be a death sentence considering how powerful he is.

"Therefore, you have the choice to join our nation under my banner in exchange for support and as goodwill I'll name each and every one in your village even those who already have one to become even stronger. In addition to restoring your lifeform back to its prime." He can see her life nearing the end of it. She had used the last of her power to give birth to her daughter and named Momiji causing her Magicule to be almost exhausted. The other Tengu was taken aback by his offer that not only will they be named but also their founder would be saved from certain death.

Kaede thought about it for a moment as his offer mostly benefited them rather than the other party. She already accepted her death but still hoped to see her daughter grow and mature until she could see her get married and birth a grandchild.

"Everything you said seems to benefit us, what is it that you want from us besides our loyalty and territory?" Kaede asked unafraid that he might decide to simply leave.

"Indeed, however, you are mistaken, your territory is still yours to keep and we simply wish for you to be under our banner. I simply want to spread the name of our nation while expanding its reach. My ambition is to form an empire that surpasses even the eastern empire." Erix explained that helped Kaede understand what kind of person he is from his choice of words.

"I see, then I don't see any problem in letting our village fall under you but in exchange I wish to form another proposal." Kaede saw that there wasn't any downside to his offer and her intuition leaning on following him.

"If it's within our power then we will do it without fail." Erix declared.

"I would like to offer myself and be your wife if not then concubine would suffice." Kaede boldly said to surprise her fellow Tengu and the Kijins were shocked that she would give herself to a person she barely knew. However, thinking logically, she could ensure her village safety as she would have some political power by being his wife or even concubine.

[ It is certainly surprising yet I must commend her boldness. Master would thee accept her offer? ] Arryn complimented her straightforward action and showed how her experience changed her way of thinking.

"You are certainly bold and any man who refused such an offer from a beautiful maiden would be a fool. However, I must ask if you are truly certain?" Erix said pretending he doesn't know the outcome.

"I am, my friend seems to like you and I am quite interested for the reason. But the reason why I'm offering myself is that I am certain you won't simply abandon a woman, be it a wife or concubine." Kaede's intuition made her believe that it is the correct answer.

"Hahaha certainly, when I set my eyes on women I wouldn't simply discard them and would treat them with every respect and love they deserve." Kaede smiled hearing his words and this is the best thing she can offer considering there isn't much that has value beside herself. Though, she isn't simply giving her entire being to him that easily and would observe if he's a man of integrity.

"Then, I take it, you accepted my proposal?" Kaede asked and Erix simply nodded.

"Yes, there are more things we should discuss but overall I accept it." Erix said as their negotiation continueds letting Shion be the one who gives the list of the things they'll receive and give to the nation. The taxes aren't yet implemented as their currency is still currently being widespread but they can contribute by working and helping in construction projects.

Tengu would also be an excellent scout in the sky similar to the Dragonewt or the former lizardmen from the Marshal who visited and named before where Sokka worked under Souei but set her eyes on him instead. Erix aims to separate his military forces from the Air force, the Marine and the Army even though most if not all are capable of flight and going underwater was still better to have forces that specialize in them.

Beside forces, they discussed education to everyone since this will help them grow and find hidden talents to be used in other facilities as Alchemist and Engineer would be amazing additions in improving the quality of their nation. Erix may dislike modern technology doesn't mean he hates everything rather he dislikes men who are held by vanity.

He certainly doubt pollution would occure when he aims to avoids using anything that can affect the world but then again Erix can use his common sense on another world and concentrated more of maintain balance between modern and traditional. Kaede announced their decision to joined the Crimson Asurayasha Deva in addition into becoming his concubine that shocked everyone especially her daughter but remained quiet as her mother would scold her.

In the moment they signed a contract began to force every single Tengu to be named and evolved into something more powerful. They all became Mystic Tengu That cause their Magicule to skyrocketed and few obtained Unique skills that increased their strength. Kaede had been revitalize and saved from her impending doom.

"I'm certainly glad that I accepted upon seeing you barely affected after naming and blessing every single one of us." Kaede commented taken aback by how easily he gave them names and evolve every single one withing an instant. Normally it would cause him to collapse but even after all that still stood unfazed.

This was all thanks to his [ Magicule Breader Reactor ] subskills from [ Lord fo Dark Magic, Mephistopheles ] giving him infinite amount of magicule in addition to having [ Cosmic Energy ] and [ Divine Energy ] allowing him to survived his reckless action.

"I don't take action without confidence and certainty. My decision affects not only me but every single life under my reign and consider them in every decision." Erix gave his hoense opinion as they were currently celebrating and had many dishes prepared for them. He sat in between Kaede and Yuina drinking wine and eating the delicacy that made by the tengu. They weren't bad nor great having flavor that was average. Their cooking was simple like roasted beef and soup with wine coming from trade with merchant that passed by.

"And I'm surprised how easily you get over you're husband, Yuina." Kaede said looking at her friend who was clinging into Erix.

"I'm still saddened but the opportunity to find a better husband who both strong and reliable outweigh my dying love for him." Yuina said with poisonous tone recalling how her memories of him slowly died replace by his treacherous decision. Kaede can guess that Erix is a man who treat woman the best he can and won't easily abandon them simply because he had slept with them.

"Erix-sama~ gimme a kiss!" The drunken voice of Shion could be heard as she had small amount of wine yet already started to get drunk.

"Behave, Shion. I understand how you feel but control yourself." Shuna helped calm down her friend trying to sobber her up using magic while Kaede giggled seeing this.

"My, everyone seem thirsty for your attention, Lord Erix." Kaede tease while Erix simply smiled and wrapped his arms around her surprising the tengu woman but slyfull smiled letting him be.

"Does that include you?" Erix tease that made Kaede form a smile as their intention was clear and she started to feel hot from the wine they had drunk.
