16 On our way!

Noah was walking with his hands in his pocket, while the box with his hunter id was already in his backpack.

Walking for a few more minutes, he turned back sharply.

"Why are you following me?" He asked, as he looked at Alice, that was blatantly following him closely.

"We're partners, aren't we?" She asked back, implying that the two were now a duo.

"When did I agree to be your partner?" Noah said, as he turned around and thought what was the sins that he committed to have something like this happening with him.

"Ehh?! But we know each other and we're both hunters! And we became hunters together!" She said, with sparkle in her eyes as she explained. "This can only have been destiny!" She went on, looking at what Noah was going to say.

"Destiny? Huh, whatever... Do whatever you want." Noah said, not to care more about the girl behind him. Walking out of the hunter building, he discovered he was in a city. He didn't see that he was in a city because he slept the whole way on the airship.

Walking through the streets, he looked around as he seemed to look for something.

'Everything here looks the same as on Earth, except for the slightly less advanced technology and this dark climate that has everywhere for no reason... It seems like I'm walking on Gotham' He thought, while watching some shops and the streets with a few people walking.

"What are you looking for?" Alice asked from behind him. Noah didn't look at her when he answered.

"Somewhere where I can have access to the internet." He said, while taking the paper that Netero given to him.

"We can use the library!" Alice said. "There are computers and you can use it for free." She continued while taking the front.

Noah sighed and followed her, though this left a bitter taste in her mouth.

'She's not going to give up that easy, is she?...' He wondered, while trying to get used to someone following him. Or it would be with him following someone in that case, because he didn't know where the library was.

The two walked around the city for a few minutes.

After some time walking, Alice stopped where she was and turned to Noah.

"*Cough* So... I don't know where the library is." Alice spoke, causing Noah to hold on so as not to hit her on the head.

Noah clenched his fist, while Alice put a hand behind her head and gave a shy smile.

"..." Noah calmed down. 'I'll going to kill this girl sometime.' He thought, while taking the lead again. The two once again walked, this time looking for a library.

The library wasn't so hard to find, was a big building and had a big sign signing that it was a library.

Getting into it, Noah was afraid to ask them to pay for something.

"Good afternoon sir. To use the library you'll have to pay 500 jenis." The attendant said, as she smiled without opening her eyes. Opening her eyes to those there, she saw an 8-year-old boy being followed by a girl who appeared to be 16.

"You didn't say that we can use for free?" Noah asked to Alice.

"There's no other way?" He asked to the attedant, when the attendant turned to him.

"I'm sorry, kid, but if you can't afford it, I'm going to have to ask you to leave..." She said, while smiling again.

'Am I really going have to pay just to use the library computers?' He thought, as he looked at Alice, that he was looking for something in his pockets. 'Will she pay? I don't want to owe her anything... Wait! Is it!'

He took his backpack and opened it, the attendant, curious, opened her eyes. So Noah took out a red box and opened it, taking his hunter's license and showing it to the attendant.

"Are you a hunter?! At this age?!" She asked, shocked, as she straightened and spoke more respectfully. "I'm sorry sir, you can come in." She said, while Alice was stopping rummaging through her pockets, as she pout.

She saw that Noah realized that she was picking money to pay, and knew his reason for not letting her pay.

'That little boy is very smart.' She thought, seeing that he understood his intentions. 'And besides it's very strong too.' She followed him. The attendant was going to stop her, but she put her Hunter card between her fingers and got it up, showing it to the attendant.

Who soon bowed down and let her through too.

Alice can't help but think that this hunter id is very usefull.

The two walked down the hall as they passed the bookshelves and went to the back of the library, which is where the computers were.

They didn't have to ask, because looking up they could see signs signaling which sessions each corridor was.

Walking over there, Noah went to an empty computer and sat down, while Alice took an empty chair next to her and dragged him close to Noah while looking at him.

Noah turned on the computer and waited for it.

"So, what do you need a computer for?" Alice asked, while waiting to the computer turn on with Noah.

"I need to know where these coordinates are going." Noah responded, while watching the computer turn on, and put the note on the table while opening the browser.

"Coordinates?" She asked, as she looked at the note and saw a numerical sequence she'd never seen before.

"Yes." Noah said, while the navigator opened and he was looking for a map site.

Opening a site with the name 'Smoogle Maps', he put the coordinates in the search tab. Pressing enter, the screen began to change when the map seemed to move directly to a specific place.

"A desert?" Noah wondered aloud as he clicked on the place for the map to approach. And just as it was said, it was a desert, there didn't seem to be anything much.

'Netero wants me to go there? Or does that number mean something else?' He considered, while looking again at the note. 'No... There's no way that number sequence is anything else.' He thought again. Before looking again at the computer.

"Do you want to go to a desert?" Alice asked, confused why they were seeing the map of a desert.

"It seems so..." Noah responded, while closing the site and opening others, from some random stores. "But before that... I need money." He said, when he remembered he didn't have the money to ask for go there on a airship.

"Money? That's easy!" Alice spoke while pulling several banknotes out of her pocket.

Noah looked strange at this, while he knew she had second thoughts in giving him the money.

"... What do you want for the money?" Noah asked asperatingly, as he looked at her suspiciously.

"Um?... Why would I want anything for that?" She asked with an innocent smile as she let out a cute laugh.

"Just tell me what your conditions are." He answered, while frowning.

"Um, you're very boring, little Noah. I want you to let me follow you." She asked, making Noah look to her even more strangely.

'What does she want so badly with me?' He wondered, while thinking about whether or not she should let it go with him. On the one hand it was easy money and he wouldn't need that much effort to get to the site. On the other hand, he didn't know her intentions with it.

"Allright." Noah replied, anyway she wouldn't hurt him, even if she wants to. He had many ways to protect himself, and also ways to kill her if necessary. He just didn't know what this girl saw in him.

On the other hand, Alice was in thoughts.

'Now I'm going to be able to figure out how he managed to kill that hawk... How can he get through meat so easily with an ordinary sword?' She thought, while handing noah the money. She even couldn't climb that pillar easily, let alone kill a hawk in such an environment without falling off the pillar or dying.

To go up, all she could do was dodge the hawk's attacks and that was exhausting for her.

Those who arrived before her were people who were lucky not to be targeted by the giant hawks.

Noah took the money while he was getting up.

"Well, let's go." Noah replied as he walked out.

"By the way, what are we going to do in the desert? What's so much about there?" She asked, as she looked at Noah's back, that was already walking to go out of the library, and got up to follow him.

"I don't know what's in there, but if the president left me this note while was talking about getting stronger..." Noah spoke while looking at the note. "There must be some method that makes us stronger, or there can have a good training environment." He continued as he walked out.

'Of course I won't talk about Nen to her. I don't want to explain about it, if she doesn't already know, she'll find out when we get there...' He thought. 'That's if there was really any nen master that can teach to us in that place... Netero can't have sent us for no reason.'

"Huh... Getting stronger? So I'm happy to join you." She smiled as she went to his side and walked alongside him. The two were the same size, but it wasn't cause Noah was too tall, but the girl who was too short. The two were about 1.49m tall (4'9).

"Too bad that's just you being happy here." Noah replied as he sighed and continued his way.
