Chapter Eleven: One-Sided Massacre

Eris raises her left hand, the hand that does not possess the sword, and recites an incantation, "Come forth great field of crimson. Let my kind and others like me thrive while the life of the unworthy is drained away. Summon Bloodopolis!"

A blood-colored dome appears over an area with a mile diameter, blocking the twenty players that surround Eris from retreating. All the players, other than the young vampire, become terrified.

"What the… What is this?" one asks.

"Crap! She casted a debuff spell on all of us!"

"No it's not just that! My HP is draining too! What's going on?!"

Eris explains, "This is a True Vampire magic spell called Bloodopolis. It creates a field of battle that's beneficial for vampires and unfavorable for all others. To note the specifics, it gives vampires a twenty percent stat boost, it reduces all other species' stats by twenty percent, and it also drains the life out of any other species and gives it to the one who casted the spell. Now that the Bloodopolis is established, I'll do a few more enhancements." When saying the names of the next few words, her body glows a variety of different colors, "Herculean Strength! Hermes Blitz! Greater Magic Strengthening! Greater Holy Resistance! Blood Frenzy! Darkness Shroud!" Eris' body stops glowing, "Now I can go all out!"

Before Sylvie can even finish processing what just happened, the young vampire flickers away, and reappears inches in front of her face. Then she hears two plopping sounds where she's currently standing. After Eris backs up, the elf girl looks down to see both of her arms, laying on the foggy ground. Her face contorts into one of shock and terror. Even though she doesn't feel the pain, she's utterly horrified.

"KYYYAAAA!" Sylvie screams as she stumbles backwards and pushes herself away from Eris with her feet.

"Damn it!!" shouts Ryuko and Grudge at the same time as they bring their weapons down on the young vampire.

Eris blocks both Ryuko's katana and Grudge's axe with her blade, and not even using both her hands at that, "You're… a monster," says Grudge.

"Well, I am a vampire," she answers with a smile, and eyes seemingly glowing.

With that, Eris pushes their weapons back, unbalancing them, and says, "Blazing Arc!"

With a smile that shows off her fangs, the young vampire twirls around, and as she does so, her weapon becomes surrounded in blood-colored flames. With a single, horizontal stroke, Eris cuts through the waists of both Ryuko and Grudge. Their bodies then disintegrate into brightly colored, red sparks.

Sylvie looks on with horror as the vampire aims her flaming blade at her, "I'm saving you for last."

At that point, the other players that surround Eris begin to panic, as the vampire begins to slaughter them en masse. Like so many monsters before them, the enemy players are completely overwhelmed by the vampire's swordsmanship and magic power, not to mention her incredible strength and speed. Her beautiful and graceful steps and efficient sword strokes are like those of a dancer combined with a master swordsman. That combined with the fact that she moves at speeds near to that of a bullet's, means that she quickly dispatches all of her targets with ease.

A male player tries to bring down his axe on the girl. She evades to the left, spins around on her right foot like a ballerina, and decapitates him with a single strike.

Three others attack from a far with arrows that have been enhanced with magic. Without even looking, Eris deflects each of the arrows.

Eris raises her hand, "Triple Fire Bullet!" and shoots multiple, fast-moving spheres of flames at them.

As the agonizing screams of the archers fill the air, Eris slices the legs off of two more players, making them fall to the ground.

Once they fall, she shouts, "Blood Bolt!" and blasts the players with bolts of red lightning. Their bodies disperse into bright red sparks.

In under thirty minutes, Eris manages to finishes off the last of the players by splitting him in half right down the middle.

By this time, the crimson moon has sunk a bit, and the young vampire then starts to move towards Sylvie. From Sylvie's perspective, all she can see is a small, black figure, with bright red eyes, slowly walking towards her with the light of the red moon at her back. This sight sends an incredibly cold chill down her spine, as if she's staring into the eyes of a wicked demoness.

As soon as she gets within range, Eris swings her sword, separating Sylvie's head from her body. She promptly bursts into tiny, red sparks, and the young vampire is left with a satisfied smile on her face.

The announcer's voice rings in her head, "Notice: you have defeated several players of different levels. You have acquired Player's Inventories x20. Notice: you have acquired 1,251,567 gold coins. Notice: your level has risen to 64. You have acquired 100 skill points. Your HP, MP, and SP have risen by 100 and all other stats have increased by 75. Notice: Intermediate Swordsmanship has reached level four. You can now acquire more weapon techniques."

"Wow, these guys had a nice chunk of money between all of them. They've probably done this before. Now I'll be able to create my country and improve my military power with what's leftover. But for now, I'll complete the undead wolf quest and logout. I've already played long enough for today."

The little vampire does as she plans and spends the rest of her time in the game slaughtering undead wolf monsters and finishing her quest for the guild.
