Letter

"You can go on ahead; I'll stay here just a bit longer." Chad inserted seeing the confuse and concern looks of the three.

They stared at each other, Reen nodded, silently agreeing.

"Alright then…"

They offered to bring him home but he refused. When they were sure he wouldn't change his mind, they then decided to leave the airport.

"Alright young man, we'll go ahead then." Wisteria said which Chad nodded off handily

Chad stayed where he was for a few minutes then he sat on the waiting shed on the airport, watching the continues flow of people arriving and leaving for their flights, tagging at the kids to hurry up, running, walking, listening, looking… looking to the plane taking its initial flight and finally on its way to the sky. The plane left, Chad closed his eyes tightly and slowly opened it; with trembling hands, he opened the letter slowly.

Chad,

I wrote a poem for you, I can't seem to muster any courage to tell you the things that I wanted you to know before I leave, therefore I said it in the best way I can which is in writing it instead.

My courage seems to desert me when it comes to you… Nevertheless I wanted you to at least know that whatever I wrote in here are my honest and true feelings… As embarrassing and lame as it may be I could only tell you this way…

He imagined her blushing and smiling face while writing it making him smile slightly at the thought.

Do I really love you?

Are these feelings sincere and true?

Or am I just in love with love itself

And merely fooling myself?

How can I know what love really is

Is it shown and known through a hug and kiss?

You kissed me on my forehead

While these thoughts swirled through my head

So I asked myself once again

I honestly am thinking and trying my best to find out what kind of feelings I have for you. And I'm sure you are too busy with your upcoming debut as well to think of what you feel for me or what we are now too.

Even if we do figure this out it may be a little bit too late but regardless I wanted you to know that I did properly think about it… about us…

So thank you very much for the memories and good luck on your path! I am cheering for you regardless of the answer to such confusing thoughts…

And if fate permits I do hope we meet again in the future while also achieving what we aim to be in the future.

Chad clenched the letter tightly in his hands, he exhaled loudly. He was unconsciously holding his breath; He leaned back on his seat and cursed.

As much as he denied it he did like Mirly but it was not enough to let his career to be at stake but this did not mean he liked her less.
