I turned off the TV with mixed feelings.

"You don't have to apologize. Grandpa doesn't have long to live. He did it willingly." A woman continued, "At the very last moment, he forgave you."

"Well, thank you."

"You don't have to thank me. I was going to make you take all of this. But in the end, Grandpa changed his mind."

"Jacqueline... How have you been all these years?"

She looked at me with a faint smile and said, "What do you think? Every day, we thought about revenge."

"I'm sorry."

"Forget it, it's all in the past." She looked at me. "Mom left me in this world to take revenge on you. Don't think you have a bright future ahead."

"I see."

Jacqueline snorted and didn't say anything more.

I looked at her quietly.
