The next morning, I waited for Ruby at the school gate.

It happened to be Saturday so there were few people in the school.

After Ruby arrived, we went straight to the old dormitory.

Of course, it was empty.

Though it was during the daytime, I could feel the eeriness of this building.

Fortunately, I felt less scared when climbing up the stairs with Ruby.

Finally, we arrived at the roof of the dormitory.

Ruby led me to a corner.

She said, pointing somewhere ahead of her, "Ms. Francis, it's over there!"

I looked in the direction where she pointed and saw a corner behind a cabinet.

There was a wooden ladder.

I said, "Let's climb it up."

Climbing to the end of the ladder, we looked up and saw an attic.

Ruby asked nervously, "Ms. Francis, are we really going to that attic now?"

Ruby sounded obviously scared.

To be honest, I was also scared. I had never experienced such an eerie thing before.

I said, "Don't be afraid. I'll take the lead. Be careful."
