As for the motive for the crime, this was what Jonathan wrote in his confession later on.
He wrote: [I still remember until now about the day Sebastian called me to his dorm for the first time.
He said that he had something to discuss with me and asked me to go to the dorm to find him after the self-study class at night.
I was the monitor, and he was the homeroom teacher. How could I be wary of him?
His dorm room was around 160 square feet at the end of the school building. It was originally a storage room, but it had not been used for a long time. There were only a few staff dorms, so they gave him the dorm to stay. He said he wanted a quiet environment.
Every night after the self-study class, when the whole school building was empty, only the lights in Sebastian's room were still on.
Everyone said that he was devoted to his job, but they did not know that he was doing crimes while there was no one around at night.
