Tears welled up in my eyes because Marileen had always been with me. I was most willing to be Marileen's tool of slaughter.
Marileen was the one I loved most in my life.
Clayton said, "My colleague has gone to look for Brooks and Justin cooperating with the police. Dr. Millard and I stay here because..."
Clayton paused and suddenly changed the subject. "We need evidence to reopen the investigation of Marileen's death."
I was confused. "Isn't it you who should find the evidence?"
Clayton shook his head and explained, "Well, yes, but no. We can't find evidence unless we have a solid clue. If we can't find it, we can't reopen the case. We can't just tell my supervisor that a ghost is our clue, right?"
It sounded like a difficult task.
But soon I immediately something. "You think I can help you, don't you?"
Clayton said he stayed here to get the evidence. Was it because I could be helpful?
