I thought I would always look up to Simon just like a sunflower chasing after the light.
But his gentle gaze suddenly landed on me.
During my freshman year in university, Simon found me and said they needed a nurse intern in their hospital and asked if I could help.
Naturally, I was thrilled to be able to repay his kindness, so I nodded eagerly.
Simon and I then grew closer and closer.
He often came to inspect my work and would gently encourage me and pat my head when he saw me working hard.
The people in the hospital treated me well too. They always gave me free medical examinations, but because of malnutrition when I was a child, my kidney function wasn't great.
Simon paid attention to my medical reports and advised me to eat proper meals.
Yet, he himself suffered from gastric pain because of irregular meals, and I had even seen him curl up on the couch in pain.
I asked him, "We're in the hospital. Why don't you find someone to check you out?"
