Soon the party resumed.
People slowly but surely started dancing, Cyra pulled Christopher onto the dance floor.
The same could be said of neither him nor Minseok.
He wasn't one to get mad easily. Jealous, yeah sure. Sad, sometimes. Horny, increasingly. Anxious or nervous, often. Mad? No, he didn't get mad that easily.
This time he was really mad, though. He didn't really know what the problem was, he didn't know why he was mad at Minseok.
Maybe he was mad because Minseok didn't do anything while an outsider randomly became a danger to our love.
Maybe he was mad because Minseok let her talk him down, talk his kind down.
Maybe he was mad because Minseok agreed with her.
Maybe he was mad because Minseok obviously saw what she was trying to do but still let her.
Maybe he was mad because Minseok let her play with him.
Maybe, maybe he was mad because Minseok never told him.
Maybe he wouldn't have been mad if Minseok had just told him about her. Maybe he wouldn't have been mad if Minseok had told him about this sickeningly beautiful woman who was manipulating the shit out of Minseok.
Maybe he wouldn't have been mad then.
"Jiwon?"
He snaps out of his trance and turns to Silas, "What is it?"
"Don't you think you guys should talk about it?"
He looks at Silas. His mate was literal vampire royalty, had a manipulative psycho mom, but still, he tells me I should talk it out?
"Look," Silas says with a sigh, "I don't know what's going through your mind at the moment, what I do know is that I haven't been the best towards you and Minseok's relationship these days, but he seems like he could really need you right now. I just wanted to let you know, Ji."
With a groan he gets up from the wall I was leaning against, "Fine."
As he looks around the room I can't seem to see Minseok. After searching for him a little more between the people, I walk up to Christopher and Cyra, "Hey, do you guys perchance know where Min is?"
"Minseok? No, sorry, maybe he left?" Christopher answers.
"It's okay, thanks either way." He looks for the exit, there are three, one leading outside, one leading to who-knows-where and the last one being the door which the Blood Empress entered through.
He gets to the second door and resumes his search for Minseok.
The door opened to a huge hallway on the backside of the mansion.
While making his way through the hallway with many sideways, he called for Minseok multiple times.
"Stop stop stop," an old-looking man groans while covering his ears as he exits a room. The man was about five feet tall, with a wrinkled face in which two small eyes glittered as if they possessed real stardust.
"What are you trying to do?" the man asks, "Make me deaf?"
"I-I'm sorry, sir," he says as he bows to the elderly, "I was looking for my boyfriend."
"Okay? Then look? No need to yell for that."
"I...ehm, sir, have you perchance seen a boy around my age, a little taller than me walk past?"
"No," he says with a shrug.
"Ow. Okay, thank you, sir, sorry for bothering you," after bowing again he prepares to resume his quest, but gets stopped by the elder's voice.
"I promised not to say it, but I do have a very handsome-looking young man sitting in the library with his knees against his chest if that helps?" he says with a smile and the smallest hint of a wink. I look at him astonished and he must have noticed the confusion in my face because he nods towards the door he got out from.
I walk past him and through the door. The room behind the door was like one he never saw before.
It was a huge library with two floors with racks and racks filled with maybe millions of books.
How did this room fit inside this mansion?
As he walks deeper, past many racks of books, he finally finds Minseok.
He was sitting against a rack, his knees indeed against his chest and his face resting on his knees while he hugged his legs.
Without saying a word, Jiwon sits down next to Minseok , after some seconds Minseok slowly looks up to his mate.
"Hey," Jiwon smiles, his madness long since forgotten after seeing Minseok.
"Hey," Minseok says while looking back down.
The silence returns even though the music from the ballroom is still audible.
"I'm sorry," Minseok says after a good couple of minutes.
"It's okay," Jiwon says while resting his head on Minseok's shoulder.
"No, it's not," Minseok sighs, "It's just..."
Jiwon sits up straight again and looks at the boy next to him, "Just what, Min?"
"I have this little history with Raphael's mom."
