Eugenie and Zander looked at each other when Alora stood on her tippy toes and whispered something to Arihan.
They had noticed Arihan wasn't himself from the morning. Something was going on between Alora, Arihan, Orla, and Lothar. But none of them were opening their mouths to them.
They were also worried about Alora but they were tied to their duties when the nobles were scrutinizing them and their actions like eagles eyeing their prey.
Arihan was well aware of the possible scandalous rumors by Alora's simple action in front of tons of people. However, he focused on Alora's words, "I won't die with that poison." Sorcha was confident about it.
Arihan believed her instantly. She wouldn't lie about it, would she? Anyway, he said through his clenched teeth, "If something happens to you, I will slit his throat before the sun reaches the horizon."
