Angels

My second and last attempt at making a world with the world forge. The world of the Voltars as Jarla had named those species needed a little refurbishing, unlike Vaustaris which had its life completely snuffed off. I stared at the almost-finished world in the palm of my hands as I waited for the options I needed to appear.

[STEP THREE - HEMISPHERE]

This part was something I wanted to focus on. Call it a bit of paranoia after getting a hint from the world of Aswingnir and many things in general.

First I made the firmament, then next came the Chained Skies. A black cloud atmosphere that locked down any creature entering with bad intent, this section possessed an invincible aura. Next were the normal clouds though they came as more jade green than white. The earth was next with the blue seas and the beautiful colored trees. The more I thought of it the more I realized that there would be no way to set the number of hemispheres I desired. So I used a template making it so that the world would be a mirrored hemisphere.

[STEP FOUR - WORLD SYSTEM]

The world system was the trickiest part to create. It was a combination of both the level-up system and the world energy. The worrisome part was what energy was best for what I had planned. The more I thought the more I realized that no specific energy would help its inhabitants. Finally, I picked the one energy that all Benga needed.

Mana. The decision seemed wrong considering most could have a different energy for use. But knowing what I wanted I knew it wouldn't be so.

[Name this World]

"Ethermis".

I wanted it to stand for something. I wanted it to be the symbol of my presence. The symbol for my touch, I wanted it to be something that its inhabitants used to keep in mind that there was and would always be me.

Ethermis was born in the cold reaches of the Void, locked out of the rest of space by an asteroid belt that formed a circular wall of no passage in all directions. It was within this blockade that the Ethermis solar system was birthed. Unlike other Solar Systems, it was one that had no sun or suns. Not only that it was the only planet with life in the entire solar system.

If that wasn't cool enough about it then what was to come would be

[PLAINS OF MISTRELON]

[OUTER REALM]

It would be a great dishonesty if I ever mentioned myself wishing to return here. Right now, I didn't know what pushed me to return. Actually, I knew, I just didn't think it would have been enough to get me here.

While many thought me invincible in this game I was dealing with annoyances. First was the upcoming tournament, while I had no intentions to show off it was still good to advertise my universe. Second was Cole's quest, with the higher gods awakened in the Unborn army this was up to them to accomplish. My third and most hectic problem was me.

My self. The problem with being on top of the scale wasn't getting there. It had its difficulties but none beat having to fight to stay there.

With my ideas running out and things I could add to the Star Rings to increase its popularity waning, I could only depend on my investments to come in. My strength. It was a fact that once the protection period expired my universe would face off against primordial chaos beings on a larger scale than the war of Endings.

This means I needed to get stronger and build my defenses for what was definitely going to be an all-out war against the other Creators. While most might not join in, it was certain that the players higher on the table would certainly act.

I strolled through the white grounds of the ruined city, a city I was yet to learn the name of. The system had yet to inform me of it, it was either unimportant or just another hidden lore that I would need to discover. I wasn't interested in finding out its lore at the moment. I was focused on getting into the white forest that surrounded the white city. But first I wanted to check out the monolith. The very thing that had granted me my first step into this plain.

The ruin was as silent as ever, yet there was a subtle difference this time. The more I reached the center the more I saw signs of habitation. Not in the houses, no, those were too bad to be used. It was in the little burnt-out campsites and the drag marks on the once formerly pristine white ground.

'Something was here'. Between my last time being here and now something had come here. I didn't feel wary since I knew most players had already gotten to the Tartarean rifts, which meant they must have used this same point. My worry was in the fact that such a mark was a sign of some actively staying for long. Did the destroyer not come for them as it did for me? Or were the destroyer's attempts limited to just the forest?

'But it came after me toward the ruins'.

'Probably because I ran there with it on my tail. Which means it won't come near the city unless it's after prey.' I nodded at my deduction before turning the corner. There stood my monolith right in the center of the city. But it wasn't just my monolith that stood there. Camped in a circle around the monolith were weird-looking winged beings. The more I stared at them the more I felt myself freezing.

My messengers while made from the inspiration of angels as much as I would like to deny it, they atleast had tons of differences to not accurately look like one. These beings, on the other hand, were in no way attempting to look different.

Four wings on their backs, two sprouting from their shoulder blades and two from their waist. Clad in white togas and golden belts, their perfectly humane face with similar blue irises stared back at me. I wondered what I looked like to them, yet at the same time, I wondered where they came from.

" A creator" The language was wrong but the intent was not. I could feel the fear and yet determination in their voice. Determination to do what exactly?. I got my answer when the first one lunged at me in a predatory manner. Its hands hit the ground right before it made a powerful leap and ended on my face.

Its claws, it had claws, raked down my cheek with sparks instead of blood like a metal scraping another metal. Another of its claws got into my eyes and I heard it hiss like an animal.

"Stop this" I pulled the angel off me but was met with another fist to my face. My head barely moved as the wind stirred up from the force of the punch. I flashed my gaze at the puncher, a male who looked shocked as he took a frightened step back. The rest though were not bothered as they scurried on fours around me. I stepped back ducking around as the angels behaved like wild animals trying to hunt me down.

Another dive bombed from above, almost catching me unaware. I stepped to the side caught his toga and pulled him back with force. Instead of kicking him I just turned him and shook him like a toy. It was now I realized something. Something I had noticed before.

These creatures were about eight or nine feet tall. That was saying a lot yet it made no sense considering how I was still looking down on them. I had noticed this only at the War of the Endings.

'Where my gods and administrators were shorter or smaller. ' I locked gazes on the scrambling angels. I ducked a bite from an angel and then threw tbe one I held at her. It was definitely a her.

"Why don't you lot use abilities "?" I spoke. My voice froze them andIj knew at this moment what they were.

"You're not some dungeon creatures or netizens of this plain line the destroyer. The creatures of the outer realms or the dungeons never hesitate at the feel of my power. Especially when I didn't use my aura. " I took a step forward.

I was someone who was always careful, which was why my steps had been normal. At the moment I was anything but careful. The ground blew apart as I appeared before the first angel. Its eyes widened as I grabbed its head raising it to dangle at my eye level.

"Speak your Creator's Name".

My words sent a visible shiver through its spine as its wings quivered but I didn't care. I was too worried to care. Their presence here, if my suspicion was right was a bad thing. A very bad thing for me. It meant only one thing, a creator had made a move.

Sorry guys. My mum died. So things are hectic and different now. I'll try posting as much as possible but don't expect much. Thanks a lot for enjoying the book.
