Creating My Own Army (on hold)

[Current World: Naruto] This story takes place in an alternate universe (AU) of Earth, where kingdoms still exist. The main character (MC) is the youngest war general due to a conflict with a more powerful kingdom. After dying in battle, the MC is offered a unique opportunity: a job that involves fighting monsters and armies. This position comes with two options—if they accept, they will gain power by going through trials; otherwise, they can choose to ascend to heaven or be reincarnated into their original world once again 1. Please note, this is not a harem story. I attempted to create one in my first fanfiction but struggled to find a plausible way to introduce such dynamics. Additionally, after reading numerous harem stories, while I don’t dislike the concept itself, the justifications provided in those narratives often felt contrived and unconvincing—for example, "He’s so strong, I need sisters," or "He’s the last of his clan, so he needs multiple wives." These reasons simply didn't resonate with me. Therefore, if romance becomes part of this story, it will feature a single pairing rather than a harem setup. Disclaimer: I do not own the Naruto world or any of its characters. My story only includes an original character (OC). Furthermore, I do not claim ownership of the cover picture used for this work. If the rightful owner wishes for it to be removed, please contact me.

This is my clan now (fixed)

[Ajamu POV]

Emerging from the gate, I find myself in a traditional Japanese-style room. Before me lie two lifeless bodies: one male and one female. They are none other than Fugaku Uchiha and Mikoto Uchiha, the parents of Itachi and Sasuke—and now, they belong to me as shadows.

I step closer, observing the scene. A blue window hovers above their corpses, displaying the message: "[Shadow Extraction Possible]." With authority in my voice, I utter the command:

Ajamu: "Rise."

From the bodies, two shadowy figures emerge. Their forms mirror the originals but are clad in black clothing, their skin tinged an eerie blue. They bow deeply, their voices resonating with reverence.

Shadows: "My lord, we answer the call."

A screen appears before me, prompting me to name them. Without hesitation, I declare:

Ajamu: "From this moment on, your names shall be Gaku and Miko."

They nod in unison, as if empowered by the act of naming itself. Their gratitude is immediate and heartfelt.

Gaku & Miko: "We thank you, our king."

A satisfied smile spreads across my face as I gesture for them to rise. As they comply, their eyes shift dramatically—two Mangekyō Sharingan awaken, pitch-black and gleaming ominously. My grin widens at the sight.

Curious about the nature of their awakening, I turn to Miko and ask pointedly:

Ajamu: "You possess the Mangekyō Sharingan—I understand that much. But tell me, did you awaken it yourself, or was it solely due to the naming process?"

Miko responds promptly, her tone respectful yet tinged with awe:

Miko: "It awakened when you named me, my lord."

I ponder this silently. 'Was it because she was close to unlocking it after being killed by her son, or is it purely a result of the naming? More testing will be needed.' Before I can delve deeper into thought, a scream echoes from outside, snapping me back to reality. There's no time for further contemplation.

Turning to Gaku and Miko, I inquire sharply:

Ajamu: "Do either of you know the Multi-Shadow Clone Technique?"

Gaku nods confidently, while Miko shakes her head, her expression tinged with sadness. Her voice softens as she speaks:

Miko: "No, my lord."

Ajamu: "Very well. Gaku, use your Sharingan to copy Miko's abilities."

They comply swiftly, their movements precise and efficient. Once done, I issue my orders:

Ajamu: "Gaku, you and your clones are to locate and capture Itachi and Sasuke, bringing them here. If you encounter any ninja along the way, eliminate them. Miko, create as many shadow clones as possible while ensuring you remain combat-ready. Root operatives will likely arrive to harvest the Uchiha eyes—kill them. If you come across anyone particularly strong or possessing a kekkei genkai, bring them to me alive. Additionally, send five of your clones to each Uchiha household where members have three-tomoe Sharingan. Bring their bodies here, and leave one clone behind to clean this house. I will await you all in the courtyard."

They bow deeply, their loyalty unwavering.

Gaku & Miko: "By your command, my lord."

In an instant, they vanish, leaving only the single clone tasked with cleaning the house. I make my way to the courtyard, where I notice three Uchiha corpses already collected by Miko. Deciding to wait briefly, I soon hear the sounds of battle and see EXP points accumulating in my status screen.

Realizing time is of the essence, I raise the bodies before me first, sending them to assist Miko and Gaku. Approximately twenty corpses lie scattered around the compound, so I summon them all.

Ajamu: "Arise."

Before me stand twenty shadowy figures, their eyes marked with three tomoe. I address them firmly:

Ajamu: "Spread out and aid Miko and Gaku in their tasks. Deny entry to any ninja who isn't a shadow. If you encounter someone with a kekkei genkai, bring them to me."

Shadows: "By your command," they chorus, vanishing into the night.

As I wait, I sense a presence watching me from afar. Whether it's Obito or Black Zetsu, I'm prepared for either. Obito's intangibility makes him less of a threat, while Black Zetsu, deprived of his pawns, poses little danger on his own.

The shadows dispatched earlier begin reporting back, confirming progress. Realizing the urgency of the situation, I focus on expanding my forces strategically.

'Let's see who else might prove useful: Hashirama Senju (for his Wood Release), Tobirama Senju (for his mastery of space-time ninjutsu), Madara Uchiha (for his overwhelming power), Kakashi Hatake (for his versatile eye techniques), A (the Fourth Raikage, for his speed and raw strength), Gaara's father (for sand manipulation), Tsunade (as a healer), Orochimaru (for his intellect and forbidden techniques), Danzo Shimura (for his tactical mind), and Yamato (for Wood Release).'

Lost in thought, I'm interrupted by Gaku's sudden reappearance. He holds Sasuke in his arms, flanked by two shadow clones restraining a battered but conscious Itachi. Despite his weakened state, Itachi locks eyes with me defiantly.

Gaku: "My lord, I have fulfilled my task."

Ajamu: "Good work, Gaku."

I approach Itachi, meeting his defiant gaze with calm assurance.

Ajamu: "Hello there."

Itachi struggles weakly against the shadows' grip, glaring at me through bloodshot eyes. His Sharingan flickers, attempting to ensnare me in genjutsu—but to no avail. The hypnosis effect has been nullified thanks to my enhanced senses.

Ajamu: "Nice try, young one," I remark casually, noting the tremor in his eyes. "Who am I, you ask? And what are these ninja doing under my command?" I pause, letting the weight of the situation sink in. "These are the Uchiha clan members you slaughtered—even if you had your reasons. You're talented, boy, but your body is failing you. You'll die within a few years."

Shock flashes across Itachi's face, replaced quickly by desperation.

Itachi: "Spare my brother, please. I'll do anything."

I chuckle softly, unimpressed by his plea. Killing children has never been part of my agenda.

Ajamu: "You misunderstand me, young Uchiha. I don't kill children—not a 13-year-old nor a 7-year-old. Many will perish in pursuit of my goals, but I won't harm innocents unnecessarily. What I need from you is cooperation. I'm taking over as the new head of this clan, and I require your Sharingan."

Turning to Gaku, I instruct:

Ajamu: "Revert to your human form and explain the situation to your son. Help him understand why surrendering the eye is necessary."

Gaku complies, shifting back to his original appearance. Itachi's reaction is immediate and visceral.

Itachi: "Father…?"

This catches my attention. Gaku explains tersely:

Gaku: "Your command was to capture him, so I attacked with the intent to subdue, but he retaliated."

I sigh, exasperated but unsurprised.

Ajamu: "Enough. Listen carefully, boy. These are your clan members—revived and loyal to me now. You're alive because I pity both you and your brother's fate. Consider it repayment for their service to me. Now, cooperate, or things will become far more unpleasant."

I am tired and needed a break so decided to end the chapter here and continue later sorry but this is the 4th chapter today and writing these takes more a lot more time than reading them.

so show your support it really helps me write more
