It had been two days since the funeral, and things had gone smoothly—almost amusingly so. The Third Hokage, ever the pacifist, surrendered without resistance. Some opposed Gaku's appointment as Hokage, while others dismissed the Daimyo's decree as a forgery. However, I was prepared for such skepticism. Later that same day, the Fire Daimyo himself arrived in the village alongside his daughter, publicly supporting our claims and legitimizing Gaku's ascension to the position of Fifth Hokage.
As for the Daimyo's daughter, her initial reaction wasn't surprising. Her displeasure at being suddenly engaged to what she perceived as a minor nobleman—even after hearing glowing praise about Itachi's talents from her father—was evident. She planned to reject him outright upon meeting him. But this was Itachi we were talking about. The moment she laid eyes on him, her demeanor shifted entirely. Instantly smitten, she eagerly embraced the idea of marriage and even requested to reside within the Uchiha compound to grow closer to him.
With one of the royal family now residing among us, public trust in the Uchiha clan grew rapidly. Complaints dwindled, and thanks to some strategically placed shadows using hypnosis techniques, the clan's reputation soared. Our image was solidified as trustworthy and honorable.
Regarding the former Hokage and civilian council, Danzo's testimony—combined with damning evidence of corruption—sealed their fates. We seized all their assets, including lucrative businesses and vast tracts of land. This ensured the Uchiha clan could sustain itself financially for years without relying on missions.
The Third Hokage received a lenient sentence of five years in prison due to his past achievements and advanced age. However, I had other plans for him. That night, I summoned him outside the village for a private confrontation. His performance was underwhelming; unlike Danzo, he lasted barely two minutes before my hand pierced his heart. He attempted to use the Sealing Jutsu: Reaper Death Seal—the technique he once employed against Orochimaru—but my speed surpassed his seal-weaving. Now serving under Gaku, I named him "Third."
Which brings me to my current location: the Rain Village. Why am I here? Simple—I want the Rinnegan for most of my shadows. Additionally, Black Zetsu and Pain are present here. Yesterday, I experimented with the Byakugan, prompting the system to display a message:

Minutes passed before I received word that several shadows had perished. Knowing Pain had deployed his Six Paths, I teleported to the nearest shadow.

In a devastated section of the Rain Village, amidst countless fallen Rain ninja, stood the perpetrators of the destruction: six figures bearing Rain headbands, each with the unmistakable Rinnegan in their eyes. Among them, the Animal Path summoned creatures to attack, followed by the Asura Path launching an assault. My three-tomoe shadows fought valiantly but began taking heavy casualties—not the elite Ten Commandments or Miko and Gaku, but still capable warriors.
Suddenly, a new figure appeared among the ranks of the Uchiha forces.

Ajamu scanned the battlefield until his gaze locked onto the Deva Path. Smiling confidently, he began: "Hello there, Pain. It's nice to mee—"
Before he could finish, one of the summoned animals interrupted him. Irritated, Ajamu activated his eyes and unleashed Amaterasu flames directly at the Animal Path, targeting its head to ensure its demise. The Human Path noticed and attempted to pull it away, but the flames grazed its chest. Ajamu released the target to prevent further collateral damage.
Dusting off his clothes, Ajamu ordered his shadows to stand down and avoid interrupting again. Then, addressing Pain, he said calmly: "Now that we've settled that, let's properly introduce ourselves. You already know me, Pain, but you clearly don't recognize me. I am Ajamu, your future King."

Ajamu burst into laughter. "YOU? A GOD? Hahaha! You know nothing of how vast this universe truly is. And the power you boast about? It's all thanks to those stolen eyes—not even yours to begin with! Hahaha!"
Enraged, Pain sent the Asura Path charging forward. Without forming hand seals, Ajamu countered with a Chidori, blasting through the Asura Path before it could throw a punch. Seeing this, the Deva Path activated its Universal Push to send Ajamu flying backward, retrieving the Asura Path to resurrect it. But Ajamu preemptively incinerated the Asura Path with Amaterasu, reducing it to ash.
// Let's address something here: Pain may have seemed formidable to Naruto because most combatants in this world relied heavily on jutsu and eye powers. Had he faced physical specialists like Rock Lee or Might Guy—who excel in raw strength and speed—he would have struggled significantly. For instance, if Might Guy utilized the Eight Gates, every path except the Deva and Animal Paths would have fallen swiftly, leaving the remaining ones vulnerable. This disparity became evident when Guy fought Madara near the series' climax. The narrative often exaggerated Pain's strength compared to reality. //
