The look on Ajamu's face—calm, almost bored—and the ease with which he dismantled two of Pain's paths seemed to infuriate Pain immensely. With a roar, he sent all his remaining paths into the fray, shouting: "I WILL NOT LOSE TO SOMEONE WHO DOESN'T KNOW REAL PAIN!"

Ajamu rolled his eyes in mild annoyance. Fighting Pain with jutsu would be nothing more than a waste of time. Instead, he drew his swords and dashed toward them at a speed that made him appear as though he teleported. The Deva Path immediately activated its Universal Push, but as Ajamu was pushed back, he seamlessly teleported to one of the surrounding shadows encircling the battlefield.

Reappearing behind the advancing paths, Ajamu charged again, this time targeting the Naraka Path. The paths attempted to counter using their shared vision and numerical advantage, clashing their metal rods against his blades. This gave Ajamu the perfect opportunity to test the full extent of his Sharingan and swordsmanship skills during combat. At one point, the Preta Path lunged toward him, trying to absorb his chakra—but they were unaware that his power wasn't chakra-based. His abilities stemmed purely from raw speed and strength.

Amidst the chaos, Ajamu mentally contacted Miko and her group, who had been tasked with locating Nagato's true body.

Ajamu: "Miko, did you find him yet?"

Miko: "Apologies, my lord. We're close. Using our Byakugan users, we've pinpointed his location, but it'll take another minute or two to reach him."

Ajamu: "Understood. I'll prolong this fight a little longer. Inform me once you're there."

Before he could fully process her response, the Deva Path launched another Universal Pull, dragging him toward one of its metal rods. Ajamu swiftly teleported out of harm's way, reappearing near one of his shadows before rejoining the battle.

To maintain the illusion that he was struggling, Ajamu feigned preparation for an ultimate skill—one that would supposedly drain his energy. Taking a dramatic sword stance, he vanished and reappeared behind the Naraka Path, decapitating it in one swift motion. Pain noticed the act and tried to capitalize on what he perceived as exhaustion, launching another relentless assault. Ajamu deliberately slowed his movements slightly, allowing himself to sustain minor scratches to sell the ruse that the "ultimate skill" had taken a toll on him. He retreated momentarily, giving Pain false hope.

Seeing an opening, Pain intensified his efforts, using the Universal Pull to keep Ajamu within striking range. Ajamu allowed the skirmish to continue, letting the paths land a few more hits to make it believable that they still stood a chance. In truth, he didn't intend to eliminate all the paths—he needed to ensure Nagato wouldn't flee and go into hiding.

As the battle wore on, only three paths remained. Ajamu repeated his earlier tactic, pretending to prepare another exhausting technique. Once again, Pain attempted to interrupt him with the Universal Pull, but Ajamu teleported away, appearing behind the Preta Path and severing its head.

Realizing conventional tactics weren't working, Pain sent the Human Path to delay Ajamu while preparing his most devastating attack: Planetary Devastation. However, just as he began channeling the technique, Ajamu received a message from Miko.

Miko: "My lord, we've located Nagato. We're currently positioned in the shadows of the room where he and Konan are."

Without hesitation, Ajamu teleported directly to Miko's location, leaving the remaining paths to his shadows. Upon arrival, he sensed two additional presences nearby—likely Obito and Black Zetsu. Knowing they'd attempt to seize the Rinnegan if Nagato died, Ajamu wasted no time. Without uttering a word or revealing himself, he used his unparalleled speed to decapitate Nagato cleanly. Instantly, he teleported back to a shadow outside the village.

Moments later, a distraught voice echoed through the air: "Nagato, NOOO!" Two figures materialized, frantically searching for the missing head.

Safe from prying eyes, Ajamu extracted the Rinnegan eyes and retrieved the Byakugan from his inventory. Combining the two, he initiated the upgrade process.
