Chapter 8

"Alright Leah I will need those gems you got earlier to make a good ward stone." I said tiredly already done with the day if this is going to be my new life I may just run off to be a hermit.

She huffed but handed them over all the same so I started to go through them and picked a fist size Quartz crystal of decent quality as the other gems although higher quality were simply too small to make into a ward stone.

Deciding to make a lesson out of it I started to monologue what I was doing and the girls sat next to me and closely watched what I was doing. "What you said earlier about magic having a cost is correct but to no where near the same extent you seem to believe what I'm making is a ward stone that when left on the roof, absorbs sun light and then at night projects a bubble of light around the designated structure and so long as the crystal isn't sabotaged it can even absorb moonlight to passively repair the barrier but isn't as efficient." And so on I explained going into particular detail of how to setup the rune sequence and other important details.

Both of the girls were watching spellbound and I could feel mother watching and taking notes as I was working I just hoped she wouldn't cause me trouble with the knowledge I was sharing. "But how does the ward get the magic to start up don't you need reagents and stuff?" Leah questioned with Mia nodding.

"No its like plugging in a appliance with the energy gathering system acting as the juice I mean when you go to turn on your toaster do you need to rub it with a battery to start it up no you don't its the same concept." I explained simply and I could see there minds trying to find ways to apply it too there own version of the craft.

After twenty minutes of slowly carving and giving directions I finally finished so I walked around and into the back middle tower I was going to make into the Astrology tower and put the Ward Stone in. Thump, the whole house shook as a ring of light spread out and around the property and coincidentally throwing the girls on there ass with the expanding line. I laughed at there expressions of shock "Haha now to finalize the test you guys can try to breach it after letting it store up energy for an hour and you guys got idk twenty minutes to break through it. But in the mean time I'm going to get some new sets of clothes and see if I can help with any of the purge preparations. Good Luck!" I called skipping away.

After reaching Camp I went straight to the Big House and saw Chiron playing a card game with a man in a Hawaiian t-shirt. Ah that must be Dionysus I wonder if Hestia is watching the bonfire like she was in the novel. "Lord Dionysus." I greeted before turning to Chiron "Chiron can I get a couple sets of clothes to I don't have any other than I am wearing. Oh and I finished the Cabin we just haven't furnished it yet."

Chiron was nonplussed and Dionysus roared with laughter "Ha and I told you the magic brats would get it done within the day now you owe me that ale you got from Asgard." Dionysus gave me an appraising look "So who is the new brat he isn't one of mine or Demeter's he would have already been claimed and be telling everyone else to be eating cereal or some nonsense." Honestly now I understand why those kids just sit in there strawberry patch everyone is bullying them I wonder If I can get them to be able to manipulate wood to Yamato's level in Naruto.

"Yes well I will get you, you're ale tonight Lord Dionysus. Jake if you need clothes go to the camp store and for furniture you would need to go to both the Athena and Hephaestus Cabin to commission them or more likely get them from there junk piles."

I took his dismissal and walked away, and started heading towards the Camp Store to get the essentials I would need. "Hey new kid ready to get the set?" Said the man holding the front assuming he meant the newcomer set I just nodded before a copy of him walked out of the back holding a big zip lock bag full of clothes and toiletries. He noticed my expression "Yeah we are the Stoll brothers the most handsome guys in the camp its ok, I know its a lot of to take in," He grinned with his brother shaking his head over his shoulder.

"Ok so what's you're guy's name then? I feel like you two are going to be someone I will need to curse after one too many pranks." I said with a sigh which lead to said twin to grin and a chuckle coming from the back

"Yeah we will probably deserve it too." The twin in the back called out.

The front twin just shrugged "Yeah well that's future Us's problem now my name is Connor and my brother in the back is Travis." After talking a bit about what's going on and general small talk I learned Connor always wore ear studs that were enchanted to make his footsteps silent and Travis's hair was a different shade compared to Conner's for one and, I saw he wasn't wearing a camp t-shirt like basically everyone else was and of course the ribbing that I was already pretty close to a set of hot older girls but I just played dumb.

"Alright nice meeting you two" I called with Travis having come out to talk and waved me off as I carried the big bag after getting a good distance from the store I remembered I could make this easier and just shrunk the bag and the items inside it and also threw a feather weight charm on it to put the matchbox sized bag easily in my pocket. I jogged over to the Athena Cabin which was closest and after talking to a couple of the other campers they directed me to there recycle pile of crafts which had a lot of what I needed. I expanded a table in size to the match a truck bed and then started ransacking the pile and after casting cleaning charms and such any damage which already was minimal was gotten rid of.

Whistling as I ignored the stairs of campers watching the gremlin literally stealing a massive pile of furniture and cackling about his precious until seeing a couple of them about to approach I jumped on the floating table and sent it flying out the Cabin loaded with the although not stolen but I defiantly took too many goods and slowed down as we reached the Hephaestus cabin I was reminded yes it was certainly a we with how there was a screaming blonde kid a couple years older than me on my flying table.

"Stop stop I'm going to puke!" The long haired blond kid screamed and not wanting all the fabrics of my new furniture to be stained or smell of vomit I gently slowed down. Thank the gods I didn't do any barrel rolls like I wanted just because I having a sticking charm holding me to the table doesn't mean he wouldn't have been thrown off regardless of how funny it would have been.

"How the hell did you get on my flying table!" I yelled laughing at the kid as he crawled off and landed on the ground and struggled to sit up straight.

He burped and groaned "Ugh I'm a son of Apollo we have enhanced strength and agility in our father's light duh." No not duh you are supposed to be Hawk Eye not freaking Black Panther give me back my tropes and don't avoid my question you pretty boy.

"then why don't I see a bow on you then." I said petulantly honestly Ellesmera is seems to have jipped me I cant even summon a huge wood dragon like Hashirama while everyone else is already a badass at the birth.

The son of Apollo just laughed and stuck a finger out that shot a ray of light that pierced though a tree and into the ground and the hole in the tree had was burnt black. "Yeah we prefer to use bows to channel our light better but we don't need them." Yeah I'm seeming to be missing a number of things, do the Athena kids turn into owls or something it wouldn't surprise me at this point.

"So what is the name of my stowaway and answer my question why were you on my table." I said tiredly

"Oh my name is Will Solace and I just hitched a ride on your own escape for my own it's Apollo Cabins turn to be homeschooled for the year rounders." He said brightly and I took in his literally sunny, beautiful expression with glowing golden eyes and I came to the conclusion that after seeing a number of Apollo kids he really did become a Weeb after going to Japan if most of his boy's looked like traps.

Well it makes sense they want the kids to have a decent education even if the Greek side doesn't have its own college, I wouldn't be surprised if Athena made college's are a safe zone for demigods to study at with how much Greek culture is at college's and contributes to there worship.

"Ok Will you are free of the tyranny of school work for now, but if you get caught that's not my fault. So I got to take this stuff back to my cabin me and the Vordia twins made, I will catch you later."

"Oh Mia and Leah, alright see you at dinner tonight." He called at me and I quickly sped off to avoid spending more time around the trap.
