"Love Connections"

A disco song was playing in the background from the entrance of the bar and coming from the dance floor where Nial O'Donnell decided to play something for the floor. The bar was packed and that same night a group from Miami arrived to give us danceable serenades with their own instruments.

"The night is served" Maggie said as soon as she entered with the bag attached to her chest.

You don't even have to say it, we barely have time to have a Brandy" I added, looking at every corner of the bar.

There is a hole in the back," Miranda indicated to some seats near the main stage.

There is no choice. Camila orders three Brandy's" Maggie shrugged.

"Do I have to go? She always touches me" I rolled my eyes.

I gave the bag to Maggie and marched to the bar. Jackson was his turn that night and as soon as he saw me he was surprised with a smile on his face.

"What is a girl doing here?" said Jackson cleaning some glasses.

Great question, three brandy's for the gold maidens" I leaned on the bar.

Are you dancing tonight?" He took out the brandy bottle and placed three glasses on the counter.

"I don't know yet, I haven't found my dancer" I said in an ironic tone looking at the local boys.

"This body asks for a good march" he passed a hand around her body.

"Jackson, between you and me only diapers fit" I showed a narrow smile.

"It's true, you're right" she gave me the glasses.

Meanwhile, the girls were sitting in some wooden seats watching the dancers on the dance floor accompanied by a troupe by the group that had recently arrived from Miami. On the way with the drinks, the girls did not stop watching one of the members.

"Maggie, your eyes are going to fall out." I put the glasses on the table and looked at the boy whom they were looking at with such intrigue.

"Have you seen that?" Miranda said with the drool coming out of her mouth.

"Wow daddy," Maggie continued without losing ease.

Indeed. It was him. Shawn.

BEGINNING OF FLASHBACK:

"Yes?" I frowned.

"When will we see each other again?" She smiled making little eyes.

"When the time says so... good night"

"See you soon." Shawn raised a hand.

END OF FLASHBACK.

"Camila? Hey, are you alright?" Maggie said, waving her hand.

"Girl it looked like she gave you a break" Miranda exhausted.

"Of course I'm fine, I just know that boy" I apologized to her, she dressed him and took a sip of the Brandy to clear up any doubts.

"Do you know him?" Miranda said with a frown.

"Oh mommy, why don't you jump in?" Maggie added, nudged me.

"What? No way" I flatly refused.

"Don't kid around and give the boy a shake."

"Yeah... he waits, does he know you're here?" Maggie asked, her eyes widening.

"Of course not" I shrugged.

"It's from a cool movie," Miranda hallucinated.

"He's watching you." Maggie pinches my arm and I jumped up on the fly seeing that Shawn had tasted us.

"Is he looking at me?" I asked before the movement of the spotlights that barely let me see.

"Yes, he already knows you're here, doll." Miranda throbbed.

"I can't believe it, I want to drown in Brandy." I put my hands in front of my eyes.

"Blessed are my eyes, miss." Shawn smiled as he approached us.

"H-hello...Sha-Shawn." I showed an uncertain smile.

"Who would have thought that we would see each other again in a place like this?" She said a little bit. She didn't take her eyes off me, I felt rushed.

"I didn't imagine it either, really." I played crazy, making him see that it wasn't cheating or cardboard.

"Are they your friends?" She looked them up and down.

"Yes, this is Maggie and Miranda." I pointed at them.

"My pleasure, girls, will you allow me to steal it from you for a moment?" She shook hands.

"No problem, you can stay with her all night if you want," Maggie said a bit malevolently.

"Maggie don't rush!" I got up from the seat and took her hand. I didn't know what was happening or where he wanted to take me.

"Sorry" Maggie added, laughing along with Miranda.

"How funny" Shawn laughed.

"Yeah, he's a monologue in person" I looked at Maggie with blank eyes.

"Shall we dance?" She put her hands on my waist.

"If you prefer" I put a hand on his shoulder but he held me closer to him. He wanted to hit the distances, but he knew that I didn't like that.

"Be careful with the distances, friend" I put a hand on his firm chest again.

"Don't you want to let go?" He grabbed me from behind and hit me against his lips.

"The night is long," I whispered.

"And life is short".

Immediately afterwards, one of the members of the group falls to the ground suddenly after being punched by one of the loca's workers. Among the bustle of people and music it was barely possible to understand.

Shawn tried to recognize the wounded man but decided to get me out of the premises by escaping through the back doors. Once outside, the crowd began to get excited.

"What are you doing?" I raised an eyebrow.

"Save you?" He closed the door.

"What are you, a superhero?" I crossed my arms.

"Maybe," he shrugged.

"I need to go back to my friends." I tried to get him out of the way.

"They'll be fine." He stopped me, putting his hands on my shoulders.

"What do you know?" They're not your friends.—I took my hands away from him.

"I sense it." He stood in the middle of the door.

"Do you want to get away? I want to enter"—I placed my arms on my hips waiting for him to get out of the way just by thinking about the situation of friends.

"And get punched?" no way.

"Why are you so heavy?"

"And why are you so impulsive?" he laughed.

"Guys, what are you doing here?" this is for the staff only" said an older man opening the door making Shawn take away. The man seemed very pissed off while I looked inside seeing that everything was completely ransacked.

"We're taking shelter from the riot," Shawn replied.

"Either you go inside or you leave here," the man warned, to which I looked at Shawn without having a clue.

"I'd better go with them." I assumed and tried to enter but Shawn grabbed my dress before a plate fell on my head.

"Do you still want to insist?" Shawn said, saving me from the impact.

"Then tell me what idea you have" the man left closing the door with a key.

"Get on my bike." He turned, taking a few keys from his pocket.

"Where do you intend to take me?" my things are there" I followed him to a black motorbike that was parked in a corner.

"To a safe place".
