Mastermind(chapter 31)

Jennie sat on the bed deep in thoughts,it has been two weeks since she signed the contract,though they weren't much closer to each other the distance between them had reduced they were more like casual friends.The work she wanted a her spy to do she had done it perfectly,now she would have information about her enemies they won't be able to guard aganist her but that wasn't enough she wanted to penetrate deep into their daily life this way she will know how to get her revenge,knowing about your enemies weakness and their strength will help her to be well prepared,now she had an informer,Damon will be her executioner while she was going to be the mastermind the chess had been set,she wasn't going to delay any further she needed proper planning before she met up with her executioner .She got up and headed to the kitchen,the housekeeper was still there cleaning untensil,because their marriage was to be kept a secret Lucas didn't hire maids to help out only the housekeeper did all the work with the help of Lucas' men."Jennie you are still awake?" asked the housekeeper "mmh,I'm unable to sleep" she replied "I'll prepare you some warm milk it will help you sleep " "no need I just want to prepare coffee would you mind if I use the kitchen" " you're too polite,this is your house,how can I mind you using the kitchen but you do know pregnant woman isn't supposed to drink anything with caffeine?" she asked "don't worry it isn't mine" she said and headed to the coffee machine she prepared a dark coffee and added one tea spoon of sugar just the way Lucas likes it and headed to his study room.

Lucas was in his study room,he was in a meeting with his friends talking about his other business,they were discussing on how to rescue a young master in a safe way,if it wasn't for the sake of that child's safety they would have already attacked them but they needed to use the long method,he was suprised when he heard a knock on his door,his men hardly come in his house without his permission, there were only three people living in his house,he thought maybe it was his nanny "come in" he said and Jennie pushed the door open and got in.Lucas was shocked to see her,his heartbeat increased,he looked at her and the cup she was holding he smiled and told her to sit,Jennie handed him the coffee "thanks,why arent you asleep yet?" he asked with a calm face which perfectly hid his nervousness and his wildly beating heart "I'm unable to sleep,there is something I need to talk to you about if you aren't busy" she said."I'm not busy" he said,they can wait for some minutes it's not like the meeting was going to end anytime soon,he thought,his friends on the video call almost vomited blood,they were talking about something serious and he just said he wasn't busy in their faces but before they could complain Lucas turned off his laptop."Lucas there is a favor I want to ask you as a friend" she said nervously what she wanted only he could help her but she didn't know how to say it,she knew she was taking advantage of him but she didn't have any other choice.Lucas looked at her and smiled,ever since he married her he smiled more often even without a reason,his friends had noticed his unsual behaviour,he never got home late or spent a night in his other mansions,he behaved like a real married man,the fact that she prepared a coffee for him and she also needed a favor from him made him happy,he had promised to always try and fulfil her desire no matter what the cost was,he was willing to do anything for her.

"You're good with tech would you help me find a device that has a micro camera in it" she asked looking at him with hopeful eyes,"a device?which type of device?" he asked,obtaining a spy camera wasn't hard if she was asking for his help it meant the device she was talking about was hard to find."A device that can't be detected or hacked and if discovered it should automatically destroy itself so it won't be traced back to the owner" she said,Lucas looked at her in shock,is she serious is there a device like that,he wondered "what's the name of the device?" he asked but Jennie didn't know what to say,there was no such device the reason she wanted his help is for him to modify a spy camera,Lucas knew what she was thinking about."May I know why you need it?" he asked "about that I'll tell you later" "I can't promise you,but I'll try my best to help you" he said,he didn't expect for her to ask such a thing but still it wasn't impossible .Modifying the spy cam to how she wanted it was going to be hard but he had a tech genious in his group the two of them might have a chance to make it,they chatted for a while and jennie went back to her room,when she got to her room,she locked the door and took her phone to make a call,the room was soundproof no one would hear her private conversation "when will you start working for her?" she asked the person on the other side of the call clicked her tongue "Jennie it's late is that why you called me?" asked the person "I'm sorry,you know how important this is so just tell me" "I'll start working next week,soon she will be traveling to shoot the movie she will be casted on I'll go with her" "good,keep a close eye on her and make sure she never suspects you,if possible gain her compete trust also if something happens inform me immediately " she said "it's okay,no need to worry I'll do my part you just take care" she said and hung up,she sat on the bed and sighed if Lucas manages to modify that spy cam things will be a little easier for me,she thought.

At counrty X,Mr Louis walked out of his office and headed to the company's parking lot, his driver had been waiting him for a very long time.Because of the difficulties the company was facing he had become busy and often got from work late,he was trying his best to bring the company to its former position,he had hired a nurse for his sick wife,ever since Jennie left her health become worse her blood sugar was unstable and needed constant monitoring,she had been in and out of hospital most of the time,she stopped talking and always lived like a living dead,she said nothing and was unable to do anything even walking she was unable to.His husband had been stressed but he was strong,he didn't want to appeare like a failure even though his family was broken he still had hope that one day her daughter will come back home.Guilt and pain were devouring both of them,he regreted treating his daughter unfairly and she had the most regrets in her life,she had wronged her daughter beyond words even when she knew how her daughter suffered she watched in silent and said nothing.He swore to bring her daughter back if she didn't come home,after he settled everything in the company he will look for her and make up for his mistakes.The driver was driving him home when out of nowhere a truck come in sight,he panicked and tried his best to avoid it but it was too late they clashed heavily and the car was thrown far away,they immediately lost their consciousness,the car was badly damaged but the truck wasn't damaged people surrounded the car to take a look and those with a good heart called an ambulance,a man stood in a dark street smiled and took his phone to make a call "boss,it's done" he said "good" the other person said and hung up.
