Chapter 12: "Trust Issues"

Isabella sat across from Marco in her office, her arms crossed. "Did you find anything?" she asked.

Marco shook his head. "No, nothing that stands out," he said.

Isabella felt a pang of disappointment. She had hoped that they could quickly identify the potential traitor in their organization. "Keep looking," she said, her voice firm.

As Marco left the room, Isabella's phone buzzed. It was a text message from Matteo, one of her underlings. "We need to talk," the message read.

Isabella felt a wave of irritation. Matteo was always coming to her with his problems, and she didn't have time for it right now. But at the same time, she knew that she needed to maintain good relationships with her subordinates. She replied with a terse "Okay, what's up?"

A few minutes later, Matteo walked into her office. "I think there's something going on with Marco," he said, his voice low.

Isabella felt her pulse quicken. "What do you mean?" she asked.

"I overheard him talking to someone on the phone, and it sounded like he was making a deal," Matteo said. "I couldn't hear everything, but it didn't sound good."

Isabella felt a surge of anger. If Marco was indeed the traitor, then he was putting her entire organization at risk. "Thank you for telling me," she said, her voice calm. "I'll handle it from here."

As Matteo left the room, Isabella's mind raced. She couldn't believe that someone she had trusted for years could be working against her. But at the same time, she knew that she had to be careful. She couldn't jump to conclusions or make any rash decisions.

As she sat in her office, Isabella couldn't help but feel overwhelmed. Between the potential traitor in her organization and her father's arrest, it seemed like everything was falling apart. But she knew that she couldn't let that happen. She had to stay focused, stay strong, and do whatever it took to protect her family and her organization.
