The tension in the room was thick, suffocating even, as Sam suddenly put on a dramatic performance.

His voice trembled, and he pointed at Kai with an exaggerated expression of fear.

"He's crazy! He's out of control! He just grabbed me out of nowhere and started dragging me to the station!"

At that moment the father of the boys, Mr. Roland, took this as his cue. His face contorted with rage, and without a word, he stepped forward, raising his hand to slap Kai across the face.

But before his hand could make contact, Kai's own hand shot up, catching it in midair.

Seeing what just happened the room fell silent, the collective shock rippling through everyone present. Mr. Roland tried to pull his hand back, but Kai's grip was unyielding, his eyes boring into the man with an intensity that made even the onlookers shift uncomfortably.
