Did she transmigrate?

Bai Liyue looked at the doctor. She wanted to ask him more questions about her condition and about her husband. However, before she could do so, the door opened again. It was the nurse and she came back with a small cup of water. The nurse helped her sit up and handed her that cup of water.

Bia Liyue thanked the nurse and tried to drink from the cup, but her hands felt shaky and weak. Hence, the nurse took over and helped her drink from the cup in small sips. She once again thanked the nurse for the help.

The nurse shook her head, smiling gently.

After she was done drinking the water, the doctor continued with his checkups. He did the necessary test while he began to ask her different questions regarding her health. He asked her whether she was feeling pain in any part of her body especially her head and similar sorts of questions. Bai Liyue answered them one by one while peeking at the door, hoping for anyone to show up.

She wanted to see her family, her husband, or anyone. It felt weird and odd to be in a hospital room and not see any familiar faces.

"Miss Chen, as per the current test, you are getting better but we still have to wait for the other test results to come. We need to examine and monitor you to make sure that there are no further complications. Also, you need to undergo physiotherapy and rehabilitation to recover your strength and mobility."

"Umm... Miss Chen, if you don't mind, I suggest you take a few psychotherapy sessions just to be sure," the doctor suggested with a pause.

"I see," Bai Liyue nodded absentmindedly as her eyes continued to remain on the door.

Once the doctor was done with his tests and questions, he left after giving a few instructions to the nurse. The nurse was supposed to remain by Bia Liyue's side until she was discharged from the hospital. After the doctor was gone, Bia Liyue looked at the nurse. "Umm... Miss nurse, can I ask you something?"

"Yes?"

"Umm... is my family here?" she asked.

The nurse shook her head gently. "Sorry, sweety. They are not here but we have already informed them about the good news. I am sure that they would show up soon to visit you."

Infact, what the nurse wanted to tell her was not to get her hopes high. In these last two years, her family hardly visited her except for her sister who would visit her once a month. As for the patient's father and mother, they only showed up on the first day when she was admitted/brought to the hospital, and even at that time, they only showed great disappointment and a distant attitude towards the patients.

If the nurse didn't know that they were the patient's real family, then she would really think that those two people were some distant neighbors or heartless relatives who had no care for the patient's condition.

"Umm." Bai Liyue nodded softly. "And, umm.... w-what about... what about my husband?"

"Who?" The nurse gave her a confused look. "Ah! Do you mean, your handsome fiance? Yes, yes. He's a frequent visitor. He often comes and spends time with you."

Now, it was Bai Liyue's turn to be confused. She glanced at the nurse with narrowed eyes, wondering about her weird words. Why did it seem like the nurse was talking about someone else? And, since when did Qin Yufeng turn into her fiance? Was the nurse confusing her with someone else?

However, before Bai Liyue could question her, the nurse continued. "You know, Miss Chen, you are quite lucky. For the past two years, almost everyone was giving up on you. Your body showed no signs of recovery and you showed no sign of getting better. It's a miracle that you are awake. And, I think that it's your fiance, Mr. Si's blessing and prayers that brought you back to life."

"Mr. Si is such a good man, a gentle and caring person. And he's quite handsome, too," The nurse told her, her face reddening at the words. "He kept holding onto your hand, asking and begging you to wake up. He's the only one who's been waiting for you to wake up soon and be his beautiful bride."

Bia Liyue glanced at the nurse, as if she was looking at a weird person who was speaking giberrish.

Mr. Si?

Miss Chen?

What was this nurse talking about?

"Ummm... Miss Chen, I-I think you are talking about the wrong person to the wrong person," she interrupted the nurse.

The nurse looked puzzled. "What are you saying, Miss Chen?"

"Who is Miss Chen?" Bia Liyue asked.

"You!!!" The nurse said but then she noticed something wrong. Bai Liyue looked utterly confused by her words as if she was failing to understand what she was saying. Immedietely, something clicked in the nurse's mind and she gasped out loud. "Oh my God!!! You don't remember your name. And, you don't understand what I am talking about."

Bai Liyue was at total loss. "I-I... I...."

"You have memory loss!!!" the nurse exclaimed out loud in shock. "Doctor, I need to call the doctor...." she muttered to herself and ran out of the room.

"Wait, one second -" Bai Liyue tried to stop her but the nurse was already long gone. She touched her face wondering about the nurse's words. Memory loss? And she? How can be that possible?

How can she have a memory loss?

She clearly remembered everything and her memory seemed fine to her. Then what was the nurse talking about and who were those people she was speaking about. Why was the nurse talking to her as if she was not Bai Liyue but someone else. Suddenly, her heart palpitated and eyes went wide with shock as an impossible thought crossed her mind.

No! It can't be....

She touched her face and her hair as her heart rate spiked making the machine beep loudly. She tried to look all around the room, searching for a source or mirror inside the room where she could see her face, but found none.

Did she... did she really transmigrate into someother person's body?????
