"Its alright, I know you can do it.." standing up, he sighed and then smiled softly at Taeun.
"I need to head to the airport," Haeun said, his voice carrying a note of finality. "My flight is in an hour."
Taeun nodded, rising from his chair. "I'll come with you. It's the least I can do."
They left the office together, the city bustling around them as they made their way to the airport. The drive was quieter than usual, with Haeun lost in thought and Taeun providing silent support.
Once they arrived at the airport, Haeun turned to his brother, trying to muster a smile. "Thanks for coming with me, Taeun. I appreciate it."
Taeun gave a small smile in return. "Just make sure you take care of yourself. And remember, it's okay to lean on others sometimes."
Haeun nodded, feeling a bit of comfort from his brother's words. "I will. I promise."
As they stood in the terminal, Haeun's flight was announced. He glanced at Taeun one last time, a mixture of gratitude and sadness in his eyes. "I'll be in touch. Take care of things here, alright?"
"Don't worry, I've got it covered," Taeun said, his voice steady. "Just focus on yourself for now."
With one final hug, Haeun headed toward the gate, his suitcase in tow. As he walked away, he felt the weight of the past few days lift slightly, replaced by the anticipation of the time he would spend away.
"Oh and I'm heading out country J!"
Haeun shouted as Taeun nodded, he smiled gently, his brother really knew how to run away.
Taeun watched his brother until he was out of sight, then turned and headed back to the car. He had his own challenges to face, but knowing that he could help Haeun, even if just a little, made the burden slightly lighter.
Haeun sighed as he stared out of the window, he was really doing this, now that Taeun had said it, he was really running away.
He fished out his phone and scrolled through his contacts, he had decided that he would not rely or think about Yeongsoo again.
After this, he directly blocked him and decided to enjoy the flight.
"Good evening, sir. Can I offer you a drink to start?" one of them asked.
Haeun glanced at the menu presented to him. "A glass of champagne would be perfect, thank you."
"Certainly, sir," the attendant replied, nodding before turning to prepare his drink.
As Haeun sipped his champagne, he looked out the window, watching the city lights fade into the distance. The evening sun cast a golden hue across the cabin, making it feel even more serene.
A little while later, another attendant approached with a menu. "Dinner will be served shortly. May I take your order?"
Haeun scanned the menu options, savoring the thought of a fine meal. "I'd like the grilled salmon, please. And for dessert, the chocolate mousse sounds delightful."
"Excellent choice, sir," the attendant said, jotting down his preferences. "We'll have that prepared for you shortly."
As the meal was served, Haeun enjoyed the gourmet presentation and flavors. The attendant checked in periodically, making sure he was satisfied. "Is everything to your liking, sir?"
"Absolutely," Haeun replied, savoring a bite of the salmon. "The meal is wonderful."
The attendant smiled. "I'm glad to hear that. If you need anything else, please don't hesitate to ask."
After dinner, the attendants offered a selection of after-dinner drinks. Haeun chose a calming herbal tea. "Could I have a cup of chamomile tea, please?"
"Of course, sir," came the response. "I'll bring that right over."
As he sipped his tea, the lights in the cabin were dimmed to a soft glow, enhancing the relaxing atmosphere. The gentle hum of the plane and the view of the starry sky outside the window created a peaceful environment.
The flight attendant returned to check on him. "Is there anything else I can assist you for the last time for the night sir?"
Haeun shook his head with a contented smile. "No, I'm okay. Thank you for the excellent service."
"My pleasure, sir. We'll be landing in Country J shortly in the next 5 hours. I hope you have a pleasant stay."
"Thank you," Haeun said, with such excellent service. He was looking forward to his time in Country J.
Haeun adjusted the blanket and settled in, turning off his personal light. He glanced out the window one last time, watching the vast expanse of stars before closing his eyes. The gentle hum of the plane and the soft rocking motion created a calming lullaby, easing him into sleep.
A few hours later, the flight attendants began their early morning service. The soft glow of the cabin lights gradually brightened to wake passengers for breakfast. Haeun stirred, feeling well-rested and refreshed. He stretched and adjusted the blanket before sitting up.
As Haeun settled into his seat, the flight attendant returned with a small kit. "Good morning, sir. I wanted to offer you this," she said, handing him a small, elegant pouch.
Haeun opened it to find a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a refreshing face mist. "Thank you," he said with a smile.
"If you need anything else or have any special requests, please let us know," the attendant added before moving on to attend to other passengers.
Haeun took the toothbrush and toothpaste and went to the small, private restroom. He quickly brushed his teeth and refreshed his face with the mist. Feeling even more refreshed, he returned to his seat.
The flight attendant from earlier approached with a warm smile. "Hello, sir. We'll be starting breakfast service shortly. Would you like to see the menu?"
Haeun nodded. "Yes, please."
The attendant handed him a sleek, leather-bound menu. Haeun perused the options, which ranged from gourmet breakfasts to light, health-conscious fare.
"Can I recommend our signature French toast with fresh berries and a side of smoked salmon?" the attendant suggested.
Haeun glanced at the menu and smiled. "That sounds wonderful. I'll have the French toast, please."
"Excellent choice. And would you like anything to drink with that? We have a selection of fresh juices, teas, and coffees," the attendant continued.
"Just a coffee, please," Haeun replied.
"Certainly. I'll have that brought to you shortly."
As the attendant moved away, Haeun looked out the window again, taking in the early morning sky. The horizon was starting to lighten, casting a soft glow over the clouds. It was a beautiful sight, one that added to the sense of peace he was feeling.
After a short while, his breakfast was served. The French toast was perfectly golden, topped with a generous amount of berries, and accompanied by a side of smoked salmon. The coffee was strong and aromatic.
Haeun took his first bite, savoring the delicious flavors. The meal was as delightful as he had hoped, and he found himself relaxing even more. He let his mind wander, contemplating his upcoming stay in Country J and the things he wanted to accomplish during his break.
As he finished his meal, he leaned back in his seat, feeling a sense of contentment. The flight had been comfortable, and the food had been excellent. With a few hours still left before landing, he decided to review some documents on his tablet and plan his itinerary for the upcoming days.
