Chapter 48: Hypothetical Question

A gentle breeze greets a studious teen with a sense of relief. After successfully sealing away the shadow fiend, Crash now has time for school. 'I'll just…do my best,’ he thinks with a smile. He sits outside beneath his favorite tree. A cup of decaffeinated iced tea sits in the grass beside him. Crash flips through the pages of his history book.

"At least this is the last test," he says with a smile.

The other day he finished his math exam with a sense of doubt. Recalling stories will be easier than working with numbers. He sits the book down and takes a drink. While sitting the cup down, Crash leans back against the tree. He watches a bird cross the sky. 'It's…peaceful.' He sighs happily. Today, the teen feels more at ease. Soon, comfort falls into slumber.
