Chapter 28: Teacher's Pet

The new year comes with new surprises. Crash finds his mind distracted by the new teacher. Even while sitting in other classes, the smitten teen keeps doodling his crush. When he glances back on his little drawing, Crash can't help but to blush.

"What's wrong with me?" He whispers in math class.

Crash recalls his friend's outburst. Since then, the quiet teen feels guilty for being enamored with Mr. Faheem. Without understanding why, Crash becomes more confused. He fidgets in his seat while thinking about how upset Alex is with him. 'I can't change how I feel.' He sighs. 'So, why is it a problem?'

The teen doesn't understand the aspect of crushes. True, he has had infatuations with several singers. On the other hand, Crash hasn't experienced that with someone he knows in person. The teen looks back on some of those he is interested in—even the ones who are older than him.

"That's why," Crash blurts out loud.
