Chapter 10 : Deserted Island Result

When I returned to the vacation spot of the C class, I'm looking for Shiina an. As I glanced around, I saw Shiina and Ishizaki at a barbecue, waving at me.

"Hey, Hikigaya! You gonna eat too?"

"It's delicious."

I walked over to where they were. Ishizaki invited me to join the barbecue while Shiina handed me a plate and chopsticks with a smile.

Feeling hungry myself, I accepted the plate and chopsticks and enjoyed my first-ever barbecue. After that, I fully enjoyed the vacation by playing volleyball with Ishizaki and swimming with Shiina.

As we were having fun, the sun began to set. Following Ryuen's instructions, we started cleaning up the tools we had used so far.

"Ryuen-san... Are you really okay?"

"Boss..."

As we cleaned up, Ishizaki's trio and Ryuen's aide, Albert, seemed concerned about Ryuen near us.

"Go on. This time, I'll win."

"Yes, of course! You're amazing, Ryuen-san!"

Reassured by Ryuen's words, Ishizaki and the others quietly backed down. When they returned, a boat approached, and our class prepared to board it, while Ryuen watched quietly.

"...I look forward to this exam."

As I headed towards the boat, I heard Ryuen mutter from behind.

This is his way of showing anticipation.

"I'm looking forward to seeing your growth."

I replied to Ryuen's words like that, and heard a chuckle from behind.

When I boarded the boat, it seemed I was the last one, and once confirmed, the boat began to move forward.

Looking at Ishizaki and the others, it seemed they waved until Ryuen was no longer visible.

How much do these guys like Ryuen?

Most of the class seemed tired from the morning vacation and returned to their rooms to rest. I could hear voices talking about Ryuen from there.

We're in the middle of the exam; we've all retired. Is he from another class?

And he seems quite capable. He probably even noticed my presence hidden in the shadows.

He's probably doing whatever he wants with that personality of his.

Despite encountering this strange guy, I headed back to my room.

Several days after all of us had retired...

Today is the day of the exam results announcement. Our entire C class gathered in the hall onboard the ship, waiting anxiously for the results on the monitors. The class was on edge, with Ishizaki and others at the front, eagerly watching not just for the results, but seemingly waiting for Ryuen to appear.

"What do you think will happen with the exam?" Shiina, beside me, asked while watching the monitor.

"I'm not sure. Is Ryuen's plan working out... By the way, what about Ibuki?"

"Ibuki-san just got back yesterday and seems exhausted, still asleep."

Ibuki had retired yesterday, and Shiina had taken care of her. She seemed quite tired. Fatigue must have accumulated.

"I see. I'll report to her later."

"Yes!"

Ibuki had retired, but Kaneda hadn't. It must be part of Ryuen's strategy... I wonder what will happen.

"It's here!!!"

Ishizaki shouted, and the class's attention was focused on the monitor. I took a look and saw Ryuuen in a tattered state, and Kaneda smiling fearlessly behind him.

The uproar on the monitor indicated that despite all of us from Class C having retired, something significant had occurred.

"Now, we will announce the results of the exam."

The teacher's voice quieted the commotion, and everyone waited for the results.

"In last place, D class with 105 points."

Upon hearing this declaration, disappointed voices could be heard from D class.

"What!? Why isn't C class in last place!?"

It seemed almost everyone couldn't hide their agitation at Ryuen not being last.

Ignoring Sudo's outburst, the teacher continued.

"In third place, B class with 150 points."

Upon hearing this, encouraging voices came from B class, but the eyes directed towards Ryuen didn't waver. Ryuen, sensing those eyes, closed his eyes with a slight smile, waiting for the results.

"In second place, A class with 170 points."

"What!?"

Upon hearing the results, Katsuragi's voice expressed shock. It seemed others also didn't understand why they were second.

With this announcement, the gazes fixed on Ryuen intensified into something almost unbelievable, and he continued to smile.

"In first place, C class with 176 points."

At that moment, even we in Class C, watching the monitor, were speechless.

"Wow..."

But only for a moment.

"Whoaaaa!! That's our Ryuen-san!!"

Ishizaki's shout broke the silence, and the class erupted into cheers of praise for Ryuen.

"He's truly our leader!!"

"He's amazing!!"

"Congratulation!!"

From there, amidst the jubilation over our victory, Ryuen continued to smile while being scrutinized by surprised gazes from all classes.

Ryuen had predicted all the leaders of each class. With a contract formed with Class A, this flawless victory was beyond reproach.

Leaving Kaneda behind was probably insurance for when he revealed he was on the island. No matter how accurately he predicted all the leaders, if his own identity was revealed, it would be meaningless to be identified as a leader.

Class D was probably predicted by Ayanokoji. Class C probably tried to predict them as well, but stopped because of the risk Kaneda posed. A and C's leaders were identified, leading to a negative.

Despite only moving at the end, he took the lead over Ayanokoji. Ryuen is undoubtedly growing stronger.

Class B had about 200s points left, but Ryuen's leader prediction resulted in a minus 50s points.

A class had the leader identified as Ryuen and Ayanokoji, a major minus. And it seems that the result was because of the misplacement of the spot on Sakayanagi's faction. Although it seems that D class's leader was hit, the minus seems to have been too large.

I was surprised by Ayanokoji.

If there was another hand to play, but just the leader of Class A.

In this story, Horikita did not retire. It's because Ayanokoji didn't attempt to make her.
