Syl ended up on the rooftop of the school.

A few seconds later the door opened behind him.

"You must be proud of yourself."

Syl just nodded, his mind wandering like a rabbit in a field.

"... You did well."

At this point Syl turned around, only to see the person he expected least to be face to face with him.

"Thanks… Chabashira sensei."

She nodded. "Not only are you the first person to ever score above 500, and most likely the last. You also were able to procure the test answers for your fellow classmates. Although it is unfortunate that Sudo has to drop out, you saved a lot of other students with your actions."

Syl was silent for a moment.

"Was that a slip up then?"

Chabashira furrowed her brow. "What?"

"Earlier you said that Sudo would likely be expelled, but just now you spoke like it was certain."

"I didn't say that. Sudo is expelled. He scored below the failing grade."

She outright denied saying anything.

Syl didn't push the issue, maybe she was warming up to the class without even realizing it, or maybe it was truly just a slip of the tongue, it's not like it mattered at this point.

"How do you feel about this class, sensei?"

"... You are all my students. I hope you all work hard to achieve your goals, and put forth your best foot at all times."

"No, how do YOU feel about this class? I'm genuinely curious."

"... I'm… intrigued, you could say."

"Are you getting your hopes up?"

"... For what?"

"Why, class A of course!"

"You think that you guys will reach class A?"

Syl smirked. "Well, I think that you have no chance. If I'm being honest."

Chabashira was taken aback. "But we are only 300 class points away! And it's only been two months!"

Syl smirked. "You seem to care a lot about class A, sensei."

Chabashira regained her composure. "I was just upset to see a student giving up on his dreams so early."

"Sure. And Kushida's an angel."

"...I did hear that was her nickname."

Syl rolled his eyes "You know what I mean."

"..." Chabashira didn't reply, however she also didn't leave, as if she was waiting for something.

Syl thought for a moment before deciding to speak up again. "To answer your question earlier, I think that the students in this class easily have the potential to reach class A, especially after the head start I ended up giving everyone, but weather this class D actually rises up to class A… that's a separate issue…" Syl smirked at the underlying meaning to his own words.

Chabashira nodded in understanding. "I concur, those are two separate issues."

If only she realized how little she truly understood about Syl's words…

Chabashira just continued to wait.

Syl eventually flashed a cheeky smile and whispered. "Don't look at me like that, I'm broke!"

He silently walked away, leaving those words along with a stunned Chabashira behind.

'It seems he already thought of a countermeasure, but wasn't able to put it into action.' Chabashira nodded thoughtfully.

On his way out Syl ended up passing Ayanokoji. "Good luck out there!" He said with a smile as he walked back to the classroom to pick up his bag.

When Syl entered he was only greeted by one person. Sudo was sitting at his desk with a blank look on his face. I mean he was just practically expelled after all…

Only then did Syl notice something he should have seen much sooner. Sudo's mark on the test was 40. Which was 1 point higher than in the original novel.

Syl froze, how did Sudo still fail then? He should have passed with a 40.

Then Syl looked at the passing score. It was 42.

Syl hadn't realized how his mark had affected the scoring. Obviously him scoring 103 points would boost up the average! No one else in the class even got 100!

Syl started to panic. Does this mean Sudo was really going to get expelled?!?! That would be terrible! It would completely throw off class D!

Syl started sweating bullets! What had he done?

Now it would probably cost 200,000 points to save Sudo! Syl only had 2,000! Even Ayanokoji and Horikita combined couldn't pay that much!

Then Syl remembered he had already boosted the class points by over 500! Meaning that both Horikita and Ayanokoji should have over 50,000 points more now! Plus Syl also gave Ayanokoji and Sudo 50,000 points when they got into that fight!

What a guy! He accidentally took precautionary actions that ended up saving Sudo!

Syl was the real hero here!
