The Letter

The next morning, Della and her friends were trying to gather more information about the Onti Clocko.

Della's dad was preparing hot coffee for them.

"Here you go darling." Said her father.

" What happened father? Why do you sound so ill?" Asked Della with concern.

"It's nothing, dear. Concentrate on your work." He said.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"Post!" Came the postman to deliver a letter

" The letter's for Della McKinley" He said

"A letter for me?" She received the letter while her hand trembled in fear.

She opened the white cover.

Robin and Lexi sat beside her while her father was holding the hot coffee cup in his hand and watching her open it.

She opened the letter.

It said " Stop investigating this case now or you will not see your father ever again. This is for your own good Della McKinley."

"What the hell is this? Della you need to stop investigating this case now! This might get us in danger and I don't want anything bad to happen to your family." Said Robin with concern.

" I don't want my daughter to stop any mission just because of me. I wouldn't want to ruin her life." Said Della's dad.

Della looked at him and held his hand. " Dad you're more important for me. But it doesn't mean that I will let something happen to you. Don't worry dad. I will demand for a servicemen to protect our house."

" Guys, there's an address here.. Should we go visit it?" Asked Lexi.

" Let's go. What are we waiting for?" Said Robin

"But before that, we need to meet Sir Forsyth and tell him about this.." Said Della.

They all assented with each other. Lexi started the car and she drove to Sir Forsyth's place.

" Sir, We have received this very letter in the morning. Do you think you can take a look at it? " Asked Della.

Sir Forsyth's eyes opened wide.

" I don't think there's any spirit behind the Onti Clocko then. It's only a fellow of this country who has done all of this to scare the people away." Said Della.

" How do you conclude that?" Asked Sir Forsyth.

" Sir, It's obvious. The letter is sent by a human. This makes our job so much more facile" Said Robin.

They sat inside the car and started their journey.

They all got a cab and drove to the address that was mentioned in the letter.
