I turned my head as I walked, feeling a little unbearable.
"Do not interfere in this matter. I know her personality very well. You can't comfort her." Calvin pinched my cheek without me being able to avert my gaze and whispered.
"What you just said a little too much?" Walking up the stairs and standing at the door to my room, I couldn't help but tug on Calvin's arm. "She is your mother, after all. She'll be a lot sadder if you say that to her!"
"You should ask Carrie. Ask her if she's been in bed for so many years. She woke up and didn't have the heart to tell her mother. Is she sad!" Calvin opened the door but did not go in. He stood there with a cold tone. "After the car accident, I broke two ribs and had a mild concussion. I was on the bed for half a year. Now I can't sleep well and I still have a terrible headache."
