The Sentence - 3

"Death," Ruby said with a firm voice even though she was worried about what was happening with Seth. She could see from where she stood that Lily had stabbed Seth but Seth had told her to stay behind -- and she did -- she trusted him completely.

The whole room fell silent. It was as if time had stopped just in that throne room alone. Some of the workers that had been talking stopped their discussions. Some that were carrying things in and out of the room stopped in their tracks. Even some of the soldiers that were still on the ground -- recovering from Lily's magic -- had their mouths agape at what Ruby had just declared. The sound of the wind that was howling outside the building could be heard clearly inside the throne room, and that made the atmosphere tenser than it already was.

One could hear a pin drop in that room with such silence. It was as if it had not been expected. The shock everyone felt said that much.
