Loss For Gain
Ruby frowned. She glanced at Mabon who looked at her as well.
"I repeat with the power of the air and the earth… the sand which I have poured shows that he isn't dead and can be returned without a life given!" Ling said. His breathing sounded labored at this point but he was determined. He hadn't envisioned giving life for Seth's return – he would have prepared for that. However, the entities were demanding what they wanted and Ling didn't know what to do. There was no one here that he would sacrifice for Seth's life. It didn't make sense to him, especially with the fact that Seth hadn't completely passed unto the other side yet. He decided to dialogue with the powers even though in a corner of his mind, he knew the end game would be to sacrifice someone for Seth.
"You would lose access to this realm soon," the voice said, sounding like it was more than one person talking.
